Someone in the reddit thread about Harper says it looks like Harper says a gay slur after saying "fuck you."

It definitely looks like it, too.

He either said *** or fucker. I really hope it was fucker.

 

Really tired of Deadspin's AHAHAHAHA OUR FOUNDER LIKES LIKE THE CARDINALS SO WE'RE GOING TO BE TROLLS ABOUT THEM shtick. Especially with their own thing of posting a story about every time they lose. Yeah, it's fun trolling Cards fans but come on, you're not funny about it. If anything, you look like a spaz.

 

Deadspin has almost become unreadable recently because they try so hard to be edgy now.

Half of the Cardinal's thing stems from an ad campaign calling the fans best in baseball.

 

I'm not referring to that instance, but whenever there's an ump show, an ump has a terrible zone, or behaves just like that to players/managers. Also, the entire team was chirping as Espinosa walked back to the dugout; Harper was on the dugout floor behind several other people yet somehow he's the one that was selected to get tossed.

 

Thought he said, "Hey, fuck you."

 

This story is starting to sound like the Cardinals fans saying a bunch of racial slurs at Heyward and it was heard in ESPN. People just saying untrue stuff to start controversy.

 

It really doesn't look like he says *** at all. Not sure what anyone is talking about. More likely something like "god!" or "getouttahere!" or just a grunt.

 

Also, can't wait to beat the Cubs in the NLCS again. LGM!!!

The farm system is seriously the worst one.

 

I agree that the umps should be held more accountable in certain situations, but that also doesn't absolve Harper of what he did after the game. No need to go back at the ump at that point. For me personally, that's why I see this particular instance a bit different than guys like Ortiz getting heated in the moment of the bad call/ejection. At least to my knowledge, they let it out in the moment and then it's done. Going back to the ump after the game is over seems a bit much. But in the end, he knows he'll probably get fined and is willing to deal with that so not much else to be said on the matter.

 

It's amazing how polarizing Harper is. Trending all over cause he said "fuck you" to an ump like it's never been done before in history lol.

 

Imagine what would be trending when Pete Rose hit an umpire.

If he did, I don't want to continue praising him or claiming he's making baseball "fun" again. That's not fun, that's hateful.
