I know this is days late but I was out of town when they announced this and I'm kinda excited about it. This new rink is walking distance from my house, which if you know anything about Florida almost never happens. Walking distance isn't a thing here and having to drive at least a half an hour for anything is the norm and it's really freakin annoying. Hopefully I'll be home to catch exhibition games and practices.

Dallas trades a 4th for the rights to pending UFA Ben Bishop. 270 games played, 2.32 GAA, .919 SV

Carolina trades a 3rd for the rights to pending UFA Scott Darling. 75 games played, 2.37 CAA, .923 SV

 

Ehh still don't care we overpaid a little.

That third rounder was our 7th pick in the draft.

 

I mean I'm thrilled you guys got Darling haha. Just thought it was kind of crazy.

He doesn't. I keep thinking that Hjammer is more likely to be moved this summer since he has only a partial NMC. Either that or hypnotizing Seabrook into accepting a trade through his full NMC.

There's a report out claiming that Dallas wanted Darling over Bishop but lost him to Carolina. I think that explains why Darling's trade cost was a bit higher.
