Another fucking pathetic showing on the road for Carolina.

Faulk for Duchene is fair IMO

Slavin is already better than Faulk IMO

I feel like Flyers are about to fuck up and trade Ghost.

  12. I think it's fair value. I'm just not sure I want to make the trade. Our current young forwards are showing a lot of promise, especially Aho. And we have Roy and Gauthier impressing as prospects. Even with all these young players, we will eventually have to make a trade for a upper-tier/elite level forward and we have the defensive depth to do so. The timing has to be right though.

  13. So glad I didn't pay $150+ and drive 3 hours to see this team lose to the worst team in the league.

Getting slaughtered by the Caps. This team is no good against legitimate cup contenders.

I'm skeptical of moving Faulk because no one else on the blue line can create offense like him & he's the only thing they have on the power play at the moment. Hanifin hasn't progressed as much as everyone hoped & Pesce has a terrible shot from the point. Plus the defense has looked pretty bad recently & I have no idea who steps into Faulk's place.

  16. This is my thinking. We have the defensive depth on paper but I don't think we are quite ready to let go of Faulk and hand over the reigns to the young guys. I need to see more out of Hanifin, Fleury, Bean before that happens. Like I said before, I'm cool with this kind of trade eventually happening but I don't think now is the right time. Then again, we may not have the opportunity to get a player like Duchene/Landeskog down the road.

I'm watching a local hockey team and of course all the tvs here are showing the maple leafs/sabres game.

    it's getting good though.

The more I watch these shitheads, the more I desperately wish we'd get Shattenkirk. Gardiner is... inconsistent, Zaitsev isn't really an OFD, Rielly has literally 0 offensive IQ for a supposed OFD, Carrick is just getting his feet wet, and the other 3 don't even deserve being mentioned by name.

Yeah, I would wait until the off-season instead of making a desperation deadline move. Faulk's the best right hand shot on the team and I don't know who will replace that unless Roland McKeown is better than expected. Even then, he's signed to a pretty great contract and Duchene will need a new deal in a couple of years. Not that cap space is an issue or anything but it's worth keeping in mind. I'm open to moving Hanifin. He's been stuck with awful partners for most of the year but there's enough defensemen in the system that I think they can take losing another lefty without it hurting too much.

I'm excited for this trade deadline.

also sharks have lost three straight but have yet been able to still keep a decent lead on first.

    I'll take it.
