Eagles are running the Jim Schwartz wide 9 and are 2nd in Run D (71.0YPG) but yes, I normally agree on the Wide-9. Fuck Jim Washburn to hell.

Speaking in which, GB's Run D is only allowing 42.7 YPG?? Da Fuq?

Eagles aren't a ton better with CLE/CHI but they did face Deangelo who was the leagues leading rusher through two weeks so that was good.

I don't really care, I know that DL is legit and they'll do it all year.

I hope we can lock Bennie Logan up during this bye this week otherwise he's going to get paid a lot more after this year. I kinda think a deal gets done this week if Howie goes about his business like usual and tries locking guys up during the bye week.

this is literally the only thing i like about baseball - their entire season is in the same calendar year.

and yet it's the longest goddamn season of the major four sports which makes almost no fucking sense.

Well, they are also the only sport to cancel games for weather, basically, so, they kind of have to play between April and October.

Though, part of me does wish the NFL season started earlier and the Super Bowl happened over Thanksgiving or something

 

On the bright side it's more comforting being underrated than overhyped

I fully expect Wentz to crumble against Minnesota and I do not think that means he's not the best rookie QB playing right now and a potential franchise guy

 

Well, the Lions and Redskins are both bottom 5 defenses in the league (at least as points are concerned).

That said, dominating Pittsburgh the way he did shows a lot. He should destroy the next 2 teams and have 5 solid games in his belt before we see what MIN has up their sleeves

 

I so badly wish Wentz's draft stock didn't rise so much haha. Back when he was looked at as late first/early second I kept thinking he'd be so perfect in Houston.

 

It's just funny that this guy who draft twitter ripped for being a UDFA QB may take the Eagles to 5-0 (in blowout fashion so far, too) before tasting defeat to a surpreme defense and this guy is like "well I'll reserve him being for real for that game"

Carson is probably going to have a few bad games this year but I think it's pretty clear that what he's doing not only during play but presnap is what blows me away.

 

God imagine if Carson had good-to-great WRs. If he had the WRs that half the league's QBs have he'd seem indestructible.

 

What I like about that Minnesota game is that they'll almost certainly bring a ton of pressure but that is where Wentz has played his best so far.

It'll be a good test, no doubt.

I seriously just keep thinking "What if Wentz's stock stayed low and he went to Houston and could pass to Hopkins?" I love Fuller...but god that'd be amazing

 

Yeah, I actually like Philly's WR's, but its what Bradford dealth with in St Louis, RG3 until DJax, etc....you have a bunch of solid #2 and #3 guys trying to masquerade as a #1.

Though that's always been a Philly problem. I remember how great McNabb seemed once they got TO for that season-ish
