For those three years... Yea he had two good receivers and Bennett was okay for a year but before that? Not at all. Last year he had like no weapons and still had a solid year.

Yea, you're arguing that he has always had that and it was all his fault. He wasn't as good when he didn't have that so you're wrong. Earl Bennett and Jonny Knox were his top receivers for a long time... I'm not arguing that he's good, but saying he's always had weapons is flat out wrong.

 

that is true they did have greg olson at that time but those guys you named were scrubs

 

If I remember correctly he was hardly used as a receiving tight end and just blocked a lot. That's why they got rid of him, they underestimated.

People seem to forget the Bears were in super bowl contention with the likes of Earl Bennett and Jonny Knox. And missed the playoffs with a 10-6 record a year or two after that... Sure he had Forte at that point but he made due with what he had.

Jay isn't perfect and has a shitty attitude toward the game and his coaches, but he's a good quarterback with a strong arm and the ability to win (or lose) games for us. I don't love him and no doubt his tenure in Chicago will always be viewed negatively, but I don't know who else the Bears could have realistically gotten in the past 6 years with whom the team would be better off.

 

cutler is ok i think his attitude poor decision making hurt us but his arm is incredible plus there is always worst

Actually Cutler has pretty much always had Brandon Marshall. He was with Cutler in Denver and Chicago before going to NYJ

 

We're only talking about Chicago because he's a Bears fan

Yeah and he had Marshall there and then Jeffrey became a WR1 when Marshall left.

Jay has always had decent weapons. He also had Shanahan's running game for awhile and then moved to Matt Forte, this is his first year without a good running game

 

Except he didn't always have decent. He had like three years of horrible OL with earl Bennett and Johnny Knox. Forte bailed him out of every almost int. He's just not good so it doesn't matter. He's fine but you're not giving him the ball with the game on the line ever.

Hey, screw this coaching staff, for real. Terrible look. There's so much to list that they're doing wrong with game plans, personnel, etc. I hate the idea of ANOTHER coaching staff turnover, but it needed to happen long ago -- and why I hated lucking into the division last season. Need to get rid of Bruce Allen (not sure that'll ever happen, unfortunately) along with Jay and his entire staff.
