I told myself I was gonna skip out on the Eagles game in Seattle this year because of the inevitable beatdown my squad was going to take wouldn't be worth the $300-400 ticket but if Wentz continues to pump life into this team and Seattle continues to blow chunks, I'm gonna have to suck it up and be there.

 

I don't think I'll wear a Steelers jersey. I doubt anything would happen but you never know what drunken idiot wants to get into a fight.

 

Philly's stadium really isn't as scary as people make it out to be. I watched the Jags beat the Eagles at Lincoln Financial in a Jags jersey with my dad before. Everyone around us was respectful (granted we also didn't act like assholes when the Jags scored).

 

The Vet was a total shitshow but everything I've heard is that the Linc (purposefully) priced out most of the assholes and now everyone is much more respectful for the most part

 

I was at the Cowboys game last year in Week 2 and I tend to agree that the NFL pricing out a lot of the sloppy drunks has helped but at the same time, there was still a TON of shit going on. Granted it was Eagles-Cowboys and given the way that game went, the walk back to the train to get me back into center city was an interesting one to say the least.

I was talking to spiffa with a heavy dose of sarcasm although I still wouldn't recommended wearing an opposing jersey especially when its a Steelers jersey.

 

Let me tell you what though there was this drunk girl at Jags Packers yelling at everybody and pointing to her ring (superbowl ring reference) while the Jags were marching down the field on their last possession so that was annoying to fall short of a game winning drive. Would have loved for my Jags to shut her the fuck up. She got real quiet when they got to the red zone

 

as someone who has worn opposing teams' jerseys into Philly stadiums, I would STRONGLY ADVISE against it.

 

People like her are awful. The same thing happened to me with a Steelers fan, but the best part was she was talking shit during a preseason game.

 

lol yeah. I think you're going to get that just about wherever you go to a certain extent but I'd say Philly is up there in terms of the most intimidating/stupid things to do.

I was at the Birds game in Houston two years ago and went into troll mode and wore my Connor Barwin jersey and didn't get heckled even one time.

Every game I've been to in Seattle (4), I've worn an Eagles jersey of some sort and each time I've taken a bit of a ribbing walking through their shitty tailgate setups but once inside it's been fairly non-eventful for the most part.

 

there's a ton of other fans here so its probably not as bad but youre still probably going to get crapped on to some extent regardless, hopefully not physically. My friend jumped on the pats bandwagon this year because she thinks Brady and Edelman are hot, she wore all pats stuff and no one bothered her at all. Most likely because it was a giants home preseason game and not a jets regular season game.

There are three kinds of Jaguars fans:

1) the ones who are cool but don't actually care that much about football past week 3 (the team has been irrelevant for so long that this is common in this city)
2) the ones who really care about football... but really resemble the stereotypical backward culture of football fans in the south, to put it politely
3) me and Matt

If you wear a Chiefs or Raiders jersey in Denver you're going to get shit on pretty hard. Would say Raiders jerseys get it the most

Do Eagles fans really pay attention to the Steelers? When I was at Penn State, anyone from Philly would hate on anyone who was a Steelers fan as if they're some sort of rival or something. Here in Pittsburgh we could care less about the Eagles.

 

It's an Eastern-Western PA battle. This more so exists in hockey with the Pens-Flyers but I know a lot of people from Philly that loathe anything Western PA. I expect the stadium to be wild for this game on Sunday.

If the Eagles were 0-2 then maybe not so much but after listening to Philly sports radio over the last two weeks, this fan base is at a peak they haven't been at since maybe 2004 which imo, is very pre-mature but I understand it at the same time.

 

I wore a Gronk jersey to a Jets/Pats game last season at Metlife and didn't get heckled at all. Even after the Jets won I didn't really hear it much, plus the food in that stadium is definitely better than up in Foxboro.

My uncle went there wearing a Packers jersey and thought they were lovely. Likewise, I wore a Packers jersey at Soldier and was fine.

The only places I would worry about are Philadelphia and Denver, as those fan bases have reputations for being scum bags (sorry to everyone here). And any college stadium in the south.
