Easily, one team does have young talent, the other doesn't have much talent with a shitty coach. Wentz would easily fail in LA.

 

that is true better o-line better skill players plus he has a coach that believes in him

2-0isn't too shabby when a lot of "experts" had them pegged as a 3-13/4-12 team.

 

I didn't think the Eagles had the talent to support Wentz and I'm gonna eat crow on that. Despite how much the WRs drop, they do have the talent. Even if they lose 14 straight, I was wrong, haha.

 

Really? I still think the Rams take that honor regardless if they beat Seattle.

 

And now I feel like that makes me eat crow on my earlier argument too: Bradford did have tools to succeed in Philadelphia and didn't utilize them to the fullest.

 

Also, chalk me up to not giving half a shit about who they've played. Wentz was behind the curve from the second he was drafted with people saying he wouldn't be able to do it coming from an FCS program.

But even with that and who they've played, Wentz seeing/diagnosing defenses at the line and killing plays and audibling out of shit is not something you see from a rookie QB period let alone one coming from FCS.

Wentz is doing things a lot of veteran QBs can't adequately do. He's still going to go through some uphill battles this year but early signs are very encouraging longterm on him.

 

right plus wentz is a guy coming from a d-2 school to come in to soldier field and win is impressive and the bears defensive played well until halftime

 

If it weren't for those drops they would have easily put up more than 29 points last night. I do wanna see Wentz be human and throw pick just so I could see how he responds. This week should be fun.

 

I definitely thought Wentz could start wherever he went as long as they had the tools. When Wentz was still looked at as a late first rounder, I thought he could be a day 1 starter in Houston. Whether or not you need to adjust to NFL speed, it ain't gonna happen in practice.

 

Also, Trey Burton filled in nicely.

 

I agree, that's a big factor. As much as Texans fans like to hate on Hoyer he wasn't really too bad for us in a lot of situations, but one thing that he was awful about was snowballing. The moment he threw a pick, early or late, he would crumble for the rest of the game and look like garbage. It's a big thing I like about Osweiler, he never looks like he threw a pick the drive before. He started both games with early picks and never flinched.

 

Eagles playing the #1 team in the power rankings this week. Eagles should lose this game and it may not be particularly close.

But I am itching to see the excuses if they do somehow win.

The best part about Wentz beginning to pan out is it shuts up the Dak hype for even a goddamn moment

 

Not sure if you are on twitter but its the exact opposite. It's actually a Wentz v. Dak war with a lot of people siding with Dak being the better QB which to me is hilarious.

it is cause dak loves to dink dunk while wentz is throwing down the field being aggressive plus wentz has more physical talent and has way less to work with then dak and dak has the best o-line and one the best wr in the game

 

I'm on the Cowboys board just reading what they're saying and of course they're all about their guy as they should be but the argument that Dak is better because the Eagles gave up a TON to get Wentz is laughable and simply uninformed.

Sure, losing a 2nd and a 4th is quite a loss but not for the reward of moving up to #2.

 

Anybody think Goff would be far better prepared by now and starting if he were drafted by any other team?

 

I've disagreed with these people since the beginning. Yeah his level of competition matters... but what matters more is that he played in more of a pro style scheme at NDSU than pretty much every other QB worth drafting. I kept trying to tell people that even though the NFL might be a talent-shock he's actually more mentally prepared than people think.

In fact I'm sure I said that both in here and in my Sports Collective writers' chat group and got ridiculed both times.
