Oh right, Washington haha. Yeah, they'll probably win the division. Fuck em, though. Also, Philly will be lucky to sniff five wins let alone a division title. The only experience Pederson has as the Eagles head coach is overpaying a bad QB, then overpaying a worse QB to be the back up, and then risking the future on another QB who could by all means not be good at all. Zero reason to believe he can overcome that offense being as bad as it is.

The pessimist in me says the Bengals will struggle to win that division again with their injuries, but Pittsburgh's the only team that's a threat and their defense is a fucking garbage fire. I guess Baltimore could rebound but even then their ceiling is a wild card team.

more or less the joke i was making at our expense hahaha

  7. Panthers first three opposing QBs. Siemian, Gabbert, Hill. We better start 3-0.

I think Steelers Bengals Ravens will be all be barreling into 9-7 by the end of the season

I'd give the Bengals a strong 11-5. and not just because we just played them. In the last two years they not only found great depth/developable players in position groups that are getting old (offensive tackle, cornerback) but they also managed to improve their WR corps even while choosing not to re-sign two rotational wideouts from last year. Tyler Boyd looks pretty smooth and crisp with his route running so far. They also have by far the most well coached and disciplined defense of those 3 teams.

Maybe when Eifert is out and Boyd is still adjusting this might be a problem, but i think come week 5 or 6 they're not gonna have any trouble in the passing game -- teams will either have to single cover AJ Green or deal with their newest weapons wreaking havoc.

Last year it was Bortles, Mallett & McCown. Somehow it got easier.

it's because you don't have to play Bortles this time right?

  12. I get the joke but seriously Washington didn't beat one good team last year

Really depends on how the first few games without Eifert go. That totally changes the offense and I think LaFell is a downgrade from Marvin Jones. He hasn't played much at all in the pre-season either. Also not sure how good Shawn Williams will be replacing Reggie Nelson even if he played well in spot starts. Kirkpatrick is also going to be starting at corner again because William Jackson tore his pectoral and will be out awhile.

Think the first few weeks are going to be tough but they'll probably figure things out eventually and be a playoff team.

    yeah.

as far as the wideouts I see Tyler Boyd as the new Marvin Jones and Brandon LaFell as the new occassional possession target like Mohammed Sanu. Won't take them long to see it as well once Boyd truly has the playbook memorized.

Here's a big reason why i think Cincy goes 11-5: Baltimore is not likely to be that good, the Bengals should sweep them tbh... and Pittsburgh might seriously struggle to play well offensively against them without Martavis Bryant to loosen up the coverage. Cincinnati turned in two very impressive defensive performances against Pittsburgh in Heinz Field last year (though ironically got stomped at home). And this preseason shows every indication the defense is locked and loaded for another good year.

I will say though Nelson's absence could mean an extra Antonio Brown TD per game. He's really that dynamic that it takes best of the best vets at safety to even know how to help the CB tackle Brown once he gets the ball in space.

And that resulted in 9-7 and a playoff berth. They play nine "bad" teams this year too.

Dislocated knee and torn ACL. The question at this point is whether he'll be right for 2017. Its the kind of injury that ends RB's careers (see Marcus Lattimore).

Seriously. Eagles could easily be a shit-show if their offense falls apart. Giants seem likely to rebound, but, Cowboys are some shitty QB play and a Sean LEe injury away from going to shit.

Redskins are far and away the favorite just because their offense is set week to week.

As a supporter of marijuana being legal for recreation, I still wish Martavis Bryant would stop for like a couple years and make the Steelers the team they're supposed to be. And then retire and smoke all the weed he wants.

I dont get when people say they didn't beat one "good" team. Youre supposed to beat all the bad teams. Its not college football, youre supposed to be better than bad teams but you dont have to be the pats

Even as a GB fan, I feel terrible for Teddy. Hate to see a devastating injury like that happen to anyone, especially a young QB who seemed primed to "make the leap" this season. He's obviously done for this season, but you'd have to think next season might be in question too from what's been reported (or at least being ready for week 1). Someone else mentioned the Lattimore injury... that was the first thing I thought of when I heard the news. Makes me sick just picturing it.

On the flip side, this really opens the door for the Packers to run the division this season. The Vikings were looking like a legit contender in the NFC, so this will certainly knock them down a few pegs. Don't think it'll completely ruin their season though. Still an 7 to 9 win season, maybe 10 if they're lucky, depending on how far AP and that defense can carry them.

I don't mean to speak ill here but people are really overestimating how good Teddy Bridgewater actually is. I can't think of a team less affected by losing their franchise quarterback for the year.

This. And Cousins isn't any good against an adequate defense.
