Same with the Texans if we're going off that haha, only 1 year of those below .500 and it was the same record as Indy's 2011

 

After the draft I looked at it as "Mack should've been our pick but how do you say no to Clowney?" Hahaha. I think the FO was afraid of a Mario Williams situation, where we take best player over most probable but the city runs him out of town because no one else was behind the pick.

That doesn't excuse it but I can see the reasoning

Also very thankful we're not having to write a Mack contract while writing a Hopkins contract

 

Ladarius green just put out a statement that he's out because of his ankle, hmm

Mack was a good point but remember he came from Buffalo. He wasn't seen as a risk per se but it was a reason he may not be as dominant. We know Mack is better now but that was very much a minority opinion then

 

Tunsil and a healthy Jack above Ramsey is certainly not an out there opinion.

When he was selected him I was somewhat upset because I'd never heard of him before. But I'm definitely excited about what he brings. Long arms, speed, physical play. He is going to be a perfect fit for our defense.

 

Damn dude can't catch a break.

 

I think a considerable minority had Myles Jack as the #1 prospect. I did. And I thought/think Goff is the best quarterback prospect since Luck, so I'd rank Goff over him if adjusting for position value.

But, yeah, none of other guys were ranked above Ramsey by anyone.

Also, I agree about Mack. It wasn't guaranteed that he would adjust to stronger competition. And Clowney was clearly the superior prospect. Heck, a lot of people had Anthony Barr over Mack.

Also, I thought Gurley was the best player in 2015, followed by Fowler. I can't wait to see Fowler this year-- I just loved him as a college player. So violent. So versatile. I hope Jax moves him around.

Probably the most unfairly criticized quarterback prospect of our time. There were a lot of people bitching about what a bad prospect he was based primarily on the Oregon offensive style. I thought he was clear cut better than Winston, but I'm biased in that I really don't like Winston.

 

Hmm...it's weird you remember that way. I don't recall hearing a bunch of negative criticism about him. Just people debating between him and Winston. Both are going to be solid QBs so it was a fair debate to have.

 

I'm really pulling for Peyton barber, I hope he wins the no.3 but if not I'm sure another team will bring him in.

Supposedly they are still trying to trade for another WR too.

 

Jamar Taylor was working with the Browns' 1st team DBs. Not sure if I should feel like that's a good thing for him or an indictment of our talent at CB.

I'll take anything over Tramon Williams. He's actually looked pretty solid so far. They've said he'll be the starter with another string of solid showings in practice and the preseason game this week. Should be interesting to watch.
