Its smart for both sides. Bills basically have the franchise tag option, but with lots of flexibility...and Tyrod gets $7mil extra right now.

 

And it opens them up to franchise Gilmore for 2017 if a long term deal can't be reached there. They have lots of dead cap money coming off the books next year. I think Mario Williams, Percy Harvin, Leodis McKelvin and Chris Williams count almost $12 million against the cap this season

Tyrod's deal is so team friendly...what a guy. $9.63 mil cap hit this year, only $133k if he flames out completely and they cut him. If they keep him, $15.23 mil next year, $16.1 mil in 2018.

2019-21, each year is a team option. $14 mil salary + $3.1 mil option bonus for a $17.1 hit or $3.1 mil dead money each year through 2021 if the deal is terminated early. Way below market value.

I found myself quite impressed with how AJ Cann and Jermey Parnell were handling Muhammad Wilkerson early on. Especially Cann, he really looks good. Not only are his initial instincts and power both fantastic, but he also does an excellent job compensating and quickly finding a good angle to reestablish leverage, when he loses initially off the snap. What a bargain in round 3.

Get Beachum and Linder on the field please. If Bortles turned last year into 4500/35 I'm stoked to see what he does when he has a normal amount of time to throw
