Embiid is back

 

K, ready for the NBA season to start.

 

Very excited for the new season. First and foremost, I am a basketball guy. Besides running, I know this sport the best and feel the most confident talking about it from a scouting or strategy standpoint at any level. Also, I finally get to watch this season with the weight of can Cleveland/LeBron/Gilbert/etc deliver a championship. That feels really damn good! I feel like I can truly take this NBA season in with a new perspective. Of course, I wish the best for my Cavs, but I am really just ready to watch some basketball again.

 

I expect the Pistons to make the playoffs this year *again. It's nice having someone competent in charge and coaching in SVG

 

Finally?

 

Jesus, it's early, I kind of blanked out there and forget we made it last year haha

 

I honestly think Detroit gave us the best fight in the East last playoffs, despite the sweep. Those were tough wins.

 

Yeah, it was a sweep but those games were still great to watch. I think SVG has really turned this team around and I'm excited to see how we do this year, which hopefully includes not facing the Cavs in the first round so we have a chance to win a series

This is really bad news, its the same injury brook Lopez has had issues with for years (except last year he was miraculously healthy)

Australian basketball is cursed. Bogut, Exum, Simmons. Someone go put Thon Maker in a bubble right now.

EDIT: Turns out Thon is also injured already. Oops.

 

Apparently this injury normally only requires an 8 week recovery

Obviously not a good thing but not nearly as bad as Embiid's injuries.

 

Its a bad injury, they have to really let him rest it out otherwise he could tear the muscle and hell have to have surgery again. I doubt it'll be as bad as whatever Embiid had though but it isnt NBD. Fifth metatarsal injuries are no joke.

 

I was excited to watched the 76ers on League Pass this year. That got shut down in a hurry.
