Durant just better get the same backlash/hate that Lebron got when he left for Miami back in 2010

Was hoping he'd try to cement a legacy in OKC with Westbrook. They were a season away from the finals IMO. Now it's gonna be GS v Cleveland for the foreseeable future barring injury.

 

I'm more interested in what happens with Westbrook now. Really nothing is off the table

i think, but i could be wrong, that the backlash for LeBron / the Heat was that it was so many parts aligning at the same time that made it seem much more planned out and methodical, whereas this is a team that was built via the draft (mostly, at least their top 3) that now just adds a major free agent.

Difference being Lebron was completely alone in Cleveland the first time around. OKC has Westbrook. Do see your point though. I don't hate Durant for the move I just don't like it.

I mean, OKC was six minutes away from beating GS until Durant himself pretty much gave it away. Now he's joining them. About 50x worse than Lebron.

i know people think OKC was/is close and maybe a year away, and yes they made like six WCF over the years, but they only won the WCF once. and the year after making the Finals they lost in the semi-finals. there's no such thing as guarantees that OKC would have made it back to the WCF or farther next year.
