  1. Had a great look at the end - need to hit that - Delly made a great pass

Pretty impressive win on the road after struggling for 4 games vs a team that is DYING to beat us. I'm pretty concerned about JR's injury, especially considering they've been saying his left knee has been problematic for a few weeks now. That looked like a ligament injury to me and the fact he's flying back to CLE today to get MRI/additional testing is worrisome. We're already crazy thin in our backcourt and really can't afford any serious injuries. I did think Liggins played VERY well last night, especially defensively.

Regardless of the diagnosis, I think we'll be without him for a bit. It's just a question of how long. Hopefully it's not serious. I'm hoping Lue is forced to play Dunleavy more. I don't think he is used to such a reduced role, so perhaps getting more time can boost his confidence. We need to get more production from him.

Yeah the spurs had the paint absolutely locked down for the final minute and a half. To get a wide open three for your three points shooter.......just have to make that one.

I just think Dunleavy's age and injury history are catching up to him. I know he's had limited time, but he's looked pretty bad and perhaps that is because he can't get into any rhythm. Hopefully more time will let him be more comfortable. The guy missed at least two layups last night though...

Yeah, the age combined with last year's injury has to be a factor. But his role has been so reduced it's hard to be in a rhythm. It was only two years ago he was starting in the playoffs for a Bulls team that was a LeBron corner buzzer beater away from controlling the series. It's really been a nosedive for his game.

The fact that Giannis just turned 22 today is crazy.

  8. The NBA is the best league in sports. Klay putting up 60 points in 29 minutes, Westbrook with 6 straight triple doubles, Anthony Davis putting up insane numbers every game, Giannis quietly becoming a star....and that's just a few of the things going on now. So many great players in the league. It's amazing how the league keeps us entertained for the entire season despite everyone knowing the inevitable finals matchup.

I think the NBA and NHL have the best products right now. MLB is good, but there are still some things I would like to see done there. The NFL, imo is the least enjoyable for me. Probably sounds convenient being from Cleveland, but my NFL interest has been decreasing for a while. College football and basketball are also really good.

I had to unsub from Simmons, in his last round up he suggested two Celtic trades for the first two teams and called them a dark horse to beat the Cavs early on. I couldn't continue, it was just so much, and the other guy was just like "...yeah... I totally see that", it was painful.

Any good basketball podcasts out rn? I'm still on lowes but I've been deleting those more than not.

All the recent young talent has me pretty confident that the league won't suffer in the post-Lebron years like it did during the post-Jordon years.

If you like to get nerdy and into the cap, the Dunc'd podcast is really good. The two usual hosts are west coast guys, so there is some bias, but they drill-in and really know their shit. The NBA Ringer podcast is pretty good too. I've taken a break from Simmons too.

Lowe's is always great. I've been listening to Believe the Hype. It's two Aussie guys, sometimes I find myself disagreeing with the stuff they say but they've got great chemistry on the podcast which makes it pretty entertaining. I've heard the RealGM podcast is good too, but I've never listened.

Actually I might focus on playing more Doughboys and just watch some games.

  15. I need to start listening to Lowe. He's always saying nice things about the Hornets.

I think more than anything rule changes such as the pace and space adjustments have generally created a better product for the common person to watch. The post-Jordan era wasn't lacking talent. The rules and play style just needed to be updated. The game was slow and about one on one post work. That Pistons championship was kind of the peak of that style of play. It's really hard to be a good defender now because of the rules. And then subtle changes like definitively stating players can take two full steps relative to travelling has created more "exciting" plays at times. Changing to 8 seconds in the back court was pretty big at the time too. There has been a lot of little changes and then coaching styles that are pushing a quicker pace and higher scoring.

This NFL season has been the least interested I've ever been in football in my life. The Browns being 0-12 probably has a lot to do with that, but for years upon years, I'd find myself watching TNF or MNF or other teams play on late Sunday afternoon or Sunday night and I haven't found myself doing that at all this year. Even Fantasy Football hasn't kept up my interest like it usually does, despite being in three leagues. I think the NFL has just banged us over the head with too much product over the past few years that it's starting to get to be too much.

That said, if the Browns were even close to .500 or god forbid, winning, I'm 100% certain my tune would change.

The NBA has always been my favorite sport and always will be. I think Major League Baseball's popularity is starting to come back up a little bit after the post steroid years. I still watch (almost) every single Indians game every night and honestly, there's not many things better in sports than a pennant race, when every single night means something. I'm not too much into college sports, but i'll watch 'big games' when they're on. To me, college basketball is exciting, but typically exciting for all the wrong reasons (jacking up 3s, poor free throw shooting, no post play, sloppy play, a lot of guys trying really hard but not a lot of talent other than a player or 2 from each team).

I am with you on the NBA. Basketball was and is my favorite sport growing up, and I played it through high school as a point guard and sometimes an off guard. I just feel very confident talking about it. A lot of my friends coach high school and I will scout for them. I've also taken reffing classes just to understand the game better. I keep up to date on the CBA. I just love the game and watch it at many levels. Therefore, the Cavs have always been my favorite Cleveland pro team and likely always will. I love that they were the ones to end the drought. It made watching the likes of Dajuan Wagner, Luke Jackson, Kemp, Darius Miles, etc all worth it.

Yeah my comparative distaste for the NFL has made me a lot more interested in the NBA in recent years. Makes me want to pick a team

I still subscribe to Simmons' podcast, but I have been deleting them for a while and not listening. His episode with Michael B. Jordan was so good last year. I basically hope to see something cool like that, but usually it's him with Lombardi or House, and I couldn't care less.

I don't know why he stopped doing interviews, maybe because he was doing them on HBO before the show got cancelled.
