I'm going to miss the Palace, it was always a great venue. I know it's probably for the best, and it will be cool for them to be downtown again.

 

Well, it was pretty clear the insane shooting from three wouldn't last. He has these types of games every once in a while, but I think he needs to get involved in the offense earlier in games. He thrives when he is in rhythm.

In Wiggins' defense, the Celtics defense can be really tough when it's on.

 

Yeah, the insane shooting percentage had to regress at some point. Wiggins has been all scoring and not much else this year. It's fun and exciting, but so far, if he is not scoring his output is rather empty. I guess that is the next phase in his development.

Going to watch the annual Bulls Shit The Bed Against The Nuggets Even Though They're Favored To Win game at the Pepsi Center tonight. They haven't won here in nine years or something. I suppose I need to give my Nuggets friends something to cheer about...

Lakers with the almost choke job

 

I don't think it's all that bad under the new cap. In the last two years of his contract the cap is projected to be around $108-$110 and the luxury tax line around $127-$130. These Lakers are definitely promising, but they are not going to be contenders in the next two to three seasons. The guys you have to pay big money in the meantime will probably be Russell and Randle (maybe Nance). They shouldn't be going hard after many big name free agents if they develop this core right. Deng's not playing great right now, but by all accounts he's a great guy to have in the locker room, something that's definitely needed for a young team (especially given last's years environment).

 

He just looks done. Worst FG% of any starter in the league so far this season (15 game sample). I know he's a great locker room guy, but I'm genuinely worried that this is who he is as a player now. If he wasn't starting, I'm not sure he'd get any playing time. We're just waiting for him to come around. It's a weird situation, to sign a guy to a big 4-year contract, and then have him immediately look like he's on his way out of the league.

 

I mean... has mozgov lived up to his contract? (Serious question)
