I'd rather start any of them as my RB1 over Murray. As for Cooks, I'm pretty sure he was a borderline WR1 last year. There are too many mouths to feed in that offense though and be was too inconsistent last year for me to believe he'll be higher than maybe the top 15 at WR.

#2 pick in one of my drafts this year, assuming AB goes first, should I go OBJ or Julio? Or Gurley? Non ppr

    10 man league. .5 PPR. 1 keeper from 8th round on. I picked 3rd. Gurley went 2nd.

    QB: Eli Manning (11) /Tyrod Taylor (13)
    WR: OBJ (1) /Dez Bryant (3)/Moncrief (5)/Marvin Jones (8)/Sterling Shepard (9)/Perriman
    RB: Lacy (2)/ J.Hill(4) /J. Langford (6)/ James White (10)/DeAndre Washington
TE: Delanie Walker (7)/Martellus Bennett (14)
    D: Cinci (12) /Packers
    K: Mason Crosby

Running backs are questionable, but the position itself seems to always be a question. Hoping one of Lacy or Hill has a big redemption year and both have favorable schedules. Like my depth at WR. Dez dropped to begging of the third round. In case Odell gets hurt I have Shepard.

Cant say i regret too much. I think I kind of want Watkins over Dez now since he doesn't have Romo, but couldn't pass him up when the time came. Really wanted Luck and might have taken him in the 5th over Moncrief if i had the chance back, especially if knew I had Marvin Jones. Was only 3 spots away from getting him at the end of the 6th though.

    Whatcha think?

I'm all in on Julio at #2 in a PPR. Me and my buddy co-manage a big buy in team and we have pick #3, and if Julio goes too we might be going Gurley over ODB.

I know it's preseason but goddamn the Giants have looked bad.

Drafting in a 14-team standard league later this week, definitely a few first-timers... this is going to be a shitshow.

Get to pick my draft spot in one league (10 team, .5 per catch) and my options are 1/2, 5-10.
What are you guys opinions on best draft position?

Depends how far you wanna wait for your first pick/how big of a split you want to give yourself after that. I like 6-8ish.

Had the second pick, thought for sure AB would go #1 but the guy was on auto and took AP

    12 team, 0.5 PPR, 11th pick.

    QB: Blake Bortles, Derek Carr
RB: Le'Veon Bell, Thomas Rawls, Duke Johnson, Ameer Abdullah, Alfred Morris, Tyler Gaffney
WR: Mike Evans, Julian Edelman, Jordan Matthews, Kamar Aiken
    TE: Eric Ebron, Zach Miller
    K: Blair Walsh
    D: Rams

Did not like picking in that region, but as long as one of my QBs and TEs are good, I'm all set

I've had ODB both of his years and he has put up MAJOR numbers. Jones is capable of doing major numbers too but he's a bit injury prone. Gurley was obviously phenomenal last year but only one year to go one. All are good choices but I'd personally go with ODB.

My strategy this year has been picking a TE pretty much with my 3rd to last pick in all 3 of my leagues. Really, there's only 2 or 3 dominant tight ends in the league so after that fall-off, there's not much that separates the 5th best from the 12th best. Also, Tyler Eifert will miss the first 4 or 5 games, but if you can get him really late (which I did in one of my three leagues), it could be an absolute steal later on in the year. Had him last year and guy put up serious numbers.

Games played since Beckham entered the league at the start of 2014:

    Julio Jones: 31
    Odell Beckham Jr: 27

I tend to lean Julio, but there isn't a definitive answer IMO

    I'm in three leagues:

First league (10 person, non PPR)
    QB: R. Wilson
WR: Allen Robinson, Brandin Cooks, Doug Baldwin, Jordan Matthews, Travis Benjamin, Tavon Austin
RB: David Johnson, Ryan Matthews, Chris Ivory, Bilal Powell, Christine Michael (Drafted Dion Lewis but cut him aleady)
    TE: Delanie Walker
    K: Chris Boswell
    Def: New England

Second League (12 person, Half PPR)
    QB: Palmer
WR: Kennan Allen, Decker, Michael Floyd, Allen Hurns, Tavon Austin
RB: Lamar Miller, Freeman, Jennings, Crowell
    TEL Jason Witten, Eifert
    K: Catanzaro
    DEF: KC

Third League (8 team, PPR starting 2 QBs, 4WR, 3RB. Strange league, only get 1 pt per 50 yards throwing and 1 point per 2 yards of rushing or receiving)
    QBs: Brady, Dalton, Mariota
WR: Kennan Allen, Nelson, Decker, Maclin, D Jax
RB: Gurley, Peterson, Lacy, Mathews, Langford
    TE: Gates
    K: Hauschka
    DEF: LA

ODB missed his first four games of his career than played in every single game since other than 1 where he was suspended, correct?

Jones on the other hand has had ankle surgeries that hobbled him, if I recall.

Like I said, they're all great options.

What does everybody feel about Dez? I got him in the third round so its not like i regret taking him that much. Wondering if i should have taken Keenen Allen or Sammy though. Does everybody think hell take that much of a hit with Romo gone? Prescott seems to at least be an upgrade from the last year qbs.

    Should I try trading him?

He's the only real top end receiver option on the team, they're still going to force it to him a lot when throwing the ball.

12 team PPR league with crazy scoring (.5 point per target, return points etc). Two of the teams were the worst drafts I've ever seen. Derrick Henry went before AP. Had to be a troll team.

true true. and i guess they'll be throwing a lot since their defense sucks. I think I'm worrying a bit much. he's my wr2 next to Odell.

Big money league draft earlier that I co-manage with a friend. 12 teams, .5 PPR. We ended up going zero RB and I actually really like our team. RB is a shitshow but in a league full of guys trying to be the smartest guy in the room, it fell nicely for us. No TE slot, all WR slots are WR/TE. You need to have at least one back up QB, RB, and WR on your bench. We had pick #3

    QB-Phillip Rivers (7)
    RB-)eMarco Murray (4)
    RB-Ryan Matthews (5)
    WR-Julio Jones (1)
    WR-Brandon Marshall (2)
    WR-Keenan Allen (3)

    K-Chandler Catanzaro
    D/ST-Eagles D

    Bench-Gio Bernard (6)
    Bench-LaGarrette Blount (9)
    Bench-Marvin Jones (8)
    Bench-Devin Funchess (11)
    Bench-Marcus Mariotta (10)

Seriously so thrilled we ended up with Julio at 3 (Gurley went #1), Marshall in the late 2nd and Keenan Fucking Allen in the 3rd. So. Happy.

I'm drafting based on the assumption that half the people in this league are taking QBs in the first, D/ST around the eighth, bench Ks, and BPA from ESPN's board for everything else.

So it's going to be really embarrassing when they all beat me.

Surprised to see so many people taking two Tight Ends, and picking a defense/special teams anywhere prior to one of their final two picks.

I value my bench spots and try to draft as many RB/WR who I think could either have a breakout year or could potentially take over the starting role (via injury). I never draft a back-up QB or back up TE and ALWAYS wait to draft my defense second to last, and obviously, kicker last.

I don't mind taking a backup TE if you have an unproven guy or have an injury prone guy like Jordan Reed
