i will shut this website down if y'all vote an album with half skips as best of this very good year

 

In Rainbows should win but I think this site likes Chase This Light more.

 

Chase This Light is better than every 00s winner we've had besides Commit This to Memory

 

my vote is going to Straylight Run but obviously they won't win. None of my top 10 have a chance of even getting top 3

 

Chase This Light isnt even in my top 20

 

Boxer should win but In Rainbows would be fine

3. Rx Bandits - ...And the Battle Begun

 

Love Chase This Light, but I think the JEW surge is probably over. In Rainbows and Boxer both seem like safer bets.

A lot of great rap records in 2007. The Return Of The Magnificent by DJ Jazzy Jeff and Underground Kingz by UGK immediately come to mind.

 

also, it isn't. neither commit this to memory or chase this light are in the same league as kid a lol.

 

The highs on Chase This Light are really high. It's just I probably wouldn't press play and listen to the whole thing without skipping.

 

I have never heard it so I’m prey confident in saying it’s not better than The Return of The Magnificent

 

For Emma, Forever Ago is potentially a 2007 release, depending how you classify it. I'd guess that has a bigger chance of winning over In Rainbows, but it may split across into 2007 and 2008, so win neither.

 

I was wondering that. I put it down as 2007 the other day but I don't know what others would do.

definitely 2007, we’ve encountered re-release stuff in the past and i always go with first release

 

It's the 4th best Radiohead album, so eh.

 

Also, the irony is that '07 is so stacked that Chase This Light might not even make my top 3

 

i don’t really disagree, it’s still wildly better than everything else from 00-06 lol

 

I'm looking at my 2007 list and its a fucking nightmare. I don't think I listen to any of these albums lol

 

I'm a little late on Damien Rice discourse but the song "9 Crimes" is what got me into him. That song is just incredibly beautiful and haunting.

 

I'm a big Jimmy Eat World stan and even I can't claim that Chase This Light is great. That was the first time listening to a release from that band (save for Static Prevails) were I was actually like "this...feels a bit sterile" though there area some definite keepers on there.

 

I don't even know what Boxer is in reference to, my guess is Beach House or the Dessner band
