Yep. I wanna go to Traverse City and Sleeping Bear dunes, then cross through the upper peninsula, hit Madison WI, and end up in Minneapolis where I have an aunt and uncle.

Maybe next summer.

 

I saw videos recently of Great Lake surfers who ride waves in 10 degrees or colder, as the wake only increases after a snowstorm/blizzard. That is the most extreme shit.

I grew up on Lake Michigan in Wisconsin and can confirm we have more people surfing in winter months than summer mostly due to the waves and weather pressures that apparently don't work well for waves in summer here.

 

I mean, of all the Sound Machines, theirs is far and away the best.

 

Doubtful many people have strong opinions on this but:

I like Cole Porter, but he's a tier below Kern, Berlin, Gershwin, etc.

It's true that the jazz legends seem to really take to Porter. Except Ella, who could, and did sing everyone amazingly.

Let It Be is the best Beatles' song, but the album itself is very average.

 

Good album. Wouldn't put any of the songs in my top 20 Beatles tracks

 

Let it Be is good but it's not one of my favorite Beatles albums.

I'm not sure how unpopular this will prove (it should be common sense) but Iron Maiden are absolutely awful. They're fucking massive in the UK, but they're just atrocious, embarrasing naff rock. Proper "ye da" music.
