He clearly loves Liverpool. Just for my knowledge, why did he leave?

Benitez tried to sell him the season before and replace him with Gareth Barry. Hard to say no to moving back to Spain to be a pivotal figure for Real Madrid.

shouldn't have been too hard for a basque barca fan tbh

Yup. To this day I think Benitez just outsmarted himself. Clearly thought Barry was the next "the guy," and he was overeager to give up a known quantity to get him. Really frustrating to watch it unfold, especially given the love he still has for the club.

What a game that was, Klopp is really making it hard for me to hate Liverpool like I used to.

I still hate Liverpool but Klopp is phenomenal. Between Klopp and Tuchel Dortmund have been lucky to have such great managers.

  14. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but let's say the EPL title race comes down to the final week. Would Chelsea play a soft lineup against LC to give them an advantage in order to keep Spurs from possibly winning the league?

Soft lineup as in their entire youth team? I would watch that in a heartbeat based on the way this season has been going.

I can't believe I had a meeting during that Liverpool match. I don't care for either club, but I love the Klopp and a comeback.

been supporting liverpool for eight years now and this is easily a top three moment. i can't sleep and i can't stop watching the goals, reactions, the YNWAs, the tributes to the 96... everything was perfect from start to finish. it was one of the most special moments in the history of football. i'd go as far as saying this is the Deja Entendu of football. or the Born to Run. maybe the Pet Sounds?

don't think so. even if Chelsea aren't playing for anything anymore there's honor and integrity to be shown.

also, Chelsea and Spurs aren't the biggest of enemies - it's nowhere near as fierce as Arsenal v Spurs or Liverpool v Everton. and even if they were, there are very few rivalries whose distaste for the rival goes as far as fielding a weakened side if it means helping another club against said rival.

finally, Leicester will have this in the bag by the end of the month, so Chelsea can field whatever they want and it won't make a difference!

I was trying to describe myself to someone

I don't think the players will have a huge amount of motivation for that match. They'll have nothing at all to play for by then and they must know that they'll receive a torrent of abuse if they stop Leicester. Also, Hiddink seems a classy guy, so I don't think he'd field a weak team.

Like others have said though, it's going to take a monumental change of fortune for that game to even matter.

With Garber announcing MLS is definitely expanding to 28 teams, can we guess how many will be in NY or LA?

Maybe they'll introduce relegation so all of the LA and NY teams can play in "league 2" together.

    @BadMLSComics

    All of them.

In all reality, though. Probably just Sacramento and that's it. Any other teams in those states would likely happen after 28. San Diego is all I can really see after that.
