I love a good number of these guests so I'll start here. Thanks!

 

I like it when I like both the guest and the topic, otherwise it usually falls flat. But just guest or just topic can be good as well. It's very dependent

 

The newspaper comics episode with Hayes had a really long tail on it

 

They're definitely scam artists but they would never admit to it.

He had these brothers from Colorado on who popularized a high CBD/Low THC cannabis strain after being higlighted by a CNN documentary. The strain they popularized was originally known as C4 but these guys changed the name and labled theirs as "exclusive" they then marketed it to sick children's families. They charged large amounts for these kids to be put on a waiting list to receive their exclusive treatment. This strain is no where near exclusive and there are many many people who give away the same exact medicine for free without any waiting list.

Kids have died after paying thousands of dollars waiting for treatment from these people because they were lead to believe the medicine was rare and exclusive.

They now sell low dose CBD products at a super high mark up when you can get the exact same products with much higher CBD content for much lower price. Pete is a major sucker though and bought right into it.

 

That's fucked up but you just happened to be aware of these guys while Pete invited them on without knowing the full story?

 

Yeah, I think the vast majority of people who saw the CNN doc or have heard of Charlotte's Web, think that those guys are saviors.

 

Yeah I have done (way too much) research on the cannabis industry and these guys are well known to be giant money grubbing turds.

 

If you like the guest and/or the subject, you'll probably have a good time. The live power hours are fun, the SNL with Horatio was great and the Rugby one was surprisingly fantastic even though I don't understand the sport and it was just his friends as guests.

 

Thanks, I was looking over the episode list from the last couple of months and some guests/topics piqued my interest

 

This might be my favorite HH line of all time.
