Yeah, I keep hearing Garrett hyped up more than any 1st overall pick as of late, it's weird.

I haven't watched much on him, but I dunno. It seems really overblown.

 

Do you all actually watch the draft? It is so incredibly boring. I don't know how anyone does it.

 

I do hope the Browns draft Trub first overall, just because Browns

 

Yeah, I'll have it on TV, but I'll be doing other things while it's on, not like 100% focused and watching it

they drafted pretty well last year. I'm not sweating it.

 

He's very good but I do feel like it's more of "No one else is a sure #1 pick, he is" than it is him being a once-in-a-lifetime prospect

That was in reaction to the players (most (all?) of them SEC linemen) they said he had experience against in that write-up.

In his three seasons, Tennessee played at Oklahoma (5 tackles, 1 TFL - freshman, first game as starter), home vs Oklahoma (15 tackles, 1.5 TFL, 1 sack; Oklahoma made playoff), and at Bristol vs Virginia Tech (1 tackle -- can't remember if he was injured or triple teamed in this one) in the regular season, the rest were lower power-5 teams that he mostly did not play beyond the first quarter in. Bowl games were Iowa (3 tackles, year before Iowa made Rose Bowl), Northwestern (8 tackles, 1 tfl, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble), and Nebraska (5 tackles, 1 tfl, 1 sack, 4 hurries).

 

The draft happens once, NBA/NHL playoff games happen 4-7 times per series

 

Both are more entertaining than the NFL, especially in the playoffs. Especially compared to the NFL Draft which is covered by ESPN which has been awful for about a decade.

 

NFL Network covers the draft too, much easier to watch

I'd love the Bucs to pick someone I like and is genuinely an amazing person to off-balance having to watch Jameis Winston.

It's funny because I didn't even look up that much haha. I'm just saying I've watched both and while I like Barnett, I get why Garrett is the #1 pick consensus and Barnett isn't. I think Garrett can translate easier and be a more versatile player in a NFL setting than Barnett can.
