Watson is so weak but he just wins. So it's one of those things where I'm not sure if he'll succeed and our division is gonna have great defensive backs once Tennessee starts picking, so I'm not sure if Watson would be able to make the throws he needs to make, but I also know he can just win. But that arm strength does terrify me. His pocket awareness scares me as he often runs where there's no holes. Other than that I like him.

 

i want him to be successful in the NFL but I have my doubts. he has the texas tech curse. He'll make for a decent college coach some day.

But really i hope he does great for whoever he plays for.

At times, will take too long to activate counter moves when initial attack has stalled. Effort level appears closely tied to fatigue level at times. As pass rusher, uses hands reactively too often rather than proactively. Gets too cozy with blockers and will ride block for too long. Needs more urgency in disengagement. Would benefit with violent stick-and-move punch quickness into blockers. Has to work overtime to set a strong edge. Gets uprooted and widened out by quality run-blocking tackles. Never played in more than 70 percent of the defensive snaps in any of his three seasons at Texas A&M. Scouts are convinced he took plays off to protect his health this season.

 

Watson feels exactly like Cam Newton to me, just with a slightly weaker arm. Which, truly think he could fix under the right strength/conditioning coach. But, his intangible will to win is something I would want on my team. But I get the hesitancy to build a franchise around him.

 

Nah it's just a cold front

 

Cam's arm was great, Winston's arm was great, hell Tebow's arm was great. I'm fine with Watson not being able to make massive throws, but the speed of his passes worries me so much especially since the Jags have the CB tandem of Ramsey and Bouye, and the Titans are likely drafting Lattimore at #5. I just don't see him being our QB. But I'll root for him 100% if he is, and I agree that he can be fixed. I'd at least want him over anyone not named Mahomes at our pick.

I want the Lions to draft the best available D-Line or CB. I wouldn't hate it if we drafted Corey Davis

Whoever wrote Garrett's sipped the kool-aid so hard. He's near non-existent in SEC games against those players he's experienced against.



Which, this was screenshot before Barnett got #33 to break Reggie's record in the bowl game. 16 of Garrett's sacks came against non-power 5 opponents.

 

I don't think they said anything about SEC opponents vs non-SEC opponents haha, it's a scouting report on vs all opponents

 

Side note, would that also mean that Barnett disappears against non-SEC opponents?

 

I don't know. There's such a huge disconnect between college level vs NFL level that I think it's hard to tell what really translates over and that's why I'm not a NFL scout and trust scouting reports on why one prospect makes sense over another.

What I WILL say (ignoring Derek's combobreaker because I made it to quad post) is that I don't get why a lot of fans talk about Myles Garrett being a better prospect than Jadeveon Clowney. He might end up being a better player than Clowney but people forget that Clowney was like the most ridiculous prospect ever out of high school AND out of college.

 

We talking sports? Last time I enjoyed sports kordell Stewart was still QB, MJ played for the Bulls, and Pete Sampras was a tennis god.
