I've also experienced this once. It was pretty freaky.

Tbh it's things like that where I totally get why someone would think it's a paranormal experience. If I didn't know better I would've thought it was. It was like textbook horror movie trope

Oh, definitely. Also, woke up in the middle of the night when I was probably 15 or so with CRAZY vertigo. I stood up and used the walls to navigate to my parents room. It felt like I was shaking my head all over the place, but in reality it was completely still. By the time I got to their room it was over. Never had it again.

scariest audio hallucination I've had was "I'm the god of eleven swords, promise me your soul's allegiance and in return you'll receive riches and fortunes" and I noped.jpeg the fuck out. Idek what any of that means tbh. after I quit my medication most of my paralysis has subsided, thankfully.

most people i tell this shit think i'm making shit up (which I probably would too), but until you've experienced sleep paralysis you have no idea. you see and hear the weirdest shit. I don't think it's paranormal but it's always freaky as fuck.

Hahaha. I was trying to think of where that could have possibly came from and maybe it's something like that. Like I said all of this comes from shit in our head.

I probably shouldn't put too much thought into it tbh.

it helps me fall asleep but when I occasionally wake up an hour later to some freaky picture of a ghost it screws my sleep up. i normally don't have issues staying asleep (just falling asleep and waking up too early for no reason, like at 5am) so it's not too big a deal.

funny cuz i've had the idea to write a psychological thriller where someone wakes up and everyone's gone. weird "glitches" start happening that are freaky af and then you learn the person has been in a simulation their whole life that is being deleted. fill in the details idk lol. thought it would be interesting though.

it was freaky af in the moment but after I woke up I was like wow that's literally the most cliche "selling your soul to the devil" shit that it's definitely just coming from my head.

These worlds start getting destroyed or deleted or something and he's like wtf is up and then spoiler alert at the end he finds out they're all actually video game characters. This summary is probably unreliable but the cord to my PS2 is broken and I haven't played it in a while!

haha no way. well I guess if someone thought it was good enough idea a for a game it might be a good enough idea for a movie. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

it borderlines the matrix too much though, which is already a great movie. deals with the whole "veil of maya" idea really well.

I have a lot of friends from Europe and they love giving me (and anyone American really) shit when we talk about "old buildings and places" being haunted. It's humorous because it's so spot on. Americans tend to think anything build before 1940 is or should be haunted and they're like, "would your mind explode knowing we have buildings and houses from the 1700's? Just because it's 40-50 years old doesn't mean it automatically comes with a horror story and some ghosts"

  24. Two of my best friends, they're twins, experienced Old Hag Syndrome a lot in their house growing up. They described her as abnormally tall (she would take up their entire closet doorway at night) and hideous. Sometimes, she would appear above them in their bunks and sneer and laugh at them. I realize now that it was likely just sleep paralysis, but at the time, it scared me enough to never want to spend the night there haha.

Then again, our entire road is haunted. There's an old family cemetery at the top of the hill (closer to them than me) and they always claimed to see things. They claimed they saw what looked like Native American kids playing in their backyard from time to time and another friend who lives next door says a man in a blue jumpsuit has followed him around and peered into his windows ever since he was a teenager. We've all seen furniture in their house move seemingly on its own, and once one of them saw what they described as a three-foot-tall person covered in hair climb out from behind a chair and run down the hallway. Terrifying shit; I'm getting the heebie-jeebies in bed just writing this, haha.
