I pulled the trigger on the AT-LP 120. Of course I don't have speakers or a stand yet, so I'm open to suggestions anyone has regarding either of those

 

I hope whoever is already flipping these releases on eBay isn't able to actually pick them up tomorrow.

 

(but if that's your only way to get them I hope you don't get robbed)

 

I'm showing up to the store 2.5 hours early...does anyone think that's enough? Also do they only allow 1 release per person?

 

That is what I'm planning to do. Rough Trade opens at 9, gonna be there by 6:30. Most places limit you to one copy per until after like 3 pm or so, then lift the restriction.

 

Thank you, it's my first one and I've already found a place that told me they have a few copies so was wondering how early people start showing up.

 

I think the people flipping them are stores that get sent them. Can't imagine trying to flip something you don't even know that you'll get.

 

I've seen it happen before with all kinds of stuff.

 

Quarter of 7 here in Williamsburg. Line is really not that bad.

 

I'm about #15-20. I'm really hoping I can get what I want. Not too bad though, catching up on my album listening tho!

 

I saw one where the person took the cover art from the RSD website and it has a watermark that says "Support Indie Record Stores...Not Flippers." The person is asking $75 for the Isbell/400 Unit EP. What a fucking shitbag.

 

Fifth in line, and they have three Coheed copies. Thankfully I'll be getting one.

 

I'm keeping an eye on eBay for Sea Change, just in case nobody is able to get an extra in here.

 

I'm 8th in line here. 2 Coheed records. 5 of the guys in front of me are old dudes talking about Velvet Revolver so I'm not panicking yet. Will keep an eye open for Thrice

 

Damn. Record store owner here told me he ordered a couple copies of Coheed, but just went on Facebook and he posted they didn't get any in. Bummer. Still gonna look for Thrice.

 

Keep an eye on Amoeba tomorrow morning. They always post their leftovers like 5:00am pst the next day. I've lucked out in the past that way.

 

Just got coheed and space jam!

 

A friend was almost able to grab Thrice for me.

Almost.

 

Grabbed the last Coheed and only Thrice. Also picked up the Def Leppard EP and Alkaline Trio - FHTI. There was only one copy of space jam, so me and my friend agreed I would get Coheed and he would get space jam

I got the Coheed copy.

 

Got the last Thrice and Balance & Composure 7s. They had just sold out of Space Jam before I got in.

 

My store opened two and a half hours ago and there's still a line outside. Hopefully I can manage Thrice

 

I snagged coheed and the lumineers. They didn't have thrice but I'm currently waiting outside for another shop to open and check out their selections. Hoping to find all time low and tegan and sara.

 

UPDATE: Guy directly in front of me took the last one off the shelf before my very eyes. Gonna blow my brains out.
