Well, I'm interested at least. S2 was really terrible but S1 was incredibly entertaining albeit flawed. I don't have a lot of faith in Nick Pizza but bringing Milch into the writing fold hopefully means HBO doesn't really, either. A mystery miniseries with HBO production quality is a good thing, so I'm glad that there will be another crack at it even if I'm disappointed it'll be at least partially helmed by a guy who seems to have only had about 5 episodes of half interesting things to say.

Good point. I'm never going to Louisiana.

Love season 1, really dislike season 2. I'd give season 3 a shot.

It's an anthology series.. so if one season sucks, they can always rebound. That's like, possible, right?

My guess is that season 1 was Nick's passion project that he had developed over many years. And because it was so popular, they let him create a new story for season 2. Some writers just have one great story to tell. That said, I would give the 3rd season a shot.

I would watch S3 as well, but didn't it come out that a bunch of S1 was plagiarized and then S2 was garbage...it doesn't inspire confidence.

Moved here in January. New Orleans and Lafayette are amazing places - the rest is pretty terrifying.

Venice, Louisiana is one of the strangest places I've been to in the US.

I was half-joking. There are many places throughout the country that can be scary, I don't think the South is necessarily unique in that way. No matter what state you're in, there's always a huge difference between highly populated areas and rural areas. But the location in season 1 is like it's own character. They did a great job with that.

  23. I'm definitely going to watch, I'm actually excited for it.
