Yah I think ticket sales will be fine, just be prepared to see an entirely different crowd at warped tour this summer compared to past ones. There won't be many kids in flannels lol.

I'm still on the fence about going but this is the second year my date falls on my birthday and I haven't been since 2013 so why not.

Must see : STYG, Counterparts, Knocked Loose, The Acacia Strain, Hatebreed, Emmure, Microwave

Want to see : DGD, Silverstein, Gwar, Sick of it all, Hawthorne Heights, After The Burial, Bowling for Soup

There's a bunch a want to check out if I have time but I'm too lazy to list those

I like how some people in here are saying "I'm not the target demographic, I'm too old now" comments in here. I get that's a stigma that started following the tour for whatever reason, but this year it's clear the target demographic is for an older audience/fans of warped in the very early days. If anything, the younger crowds don't have very much (though they still get some sprinkled in which may be enough to get some of them to go). I think it's clear people just like to complain about Warped Tour period. I can understand if you don't like the lineup, but people complained in 2012-15 about how "warped isn't a punk show anymore, it's all scene bands" and now it's literally a lineup that you would see in the early 2000s and people are still complaining it sucks, haha doesn't make sense to me! End Rant....

I said it before but this lineup is great for me. I thnk I'm in the lucky group that really enjoys the heavy years and the pop/punk years so I never get screwed. I'll start figured out which date(s) I end up at this year in the next few days based on which bands play where.

Here's my list (in order from the poster):

    Must see (10):
    Beartooth
    Dance Gavin Dance
    Neck Deep
    Being As An Ocean
    Stick To Your Guns
    Silverstein
    Microwave
    Boston Manor
    Knocked Loose
    Trophy Eyes

    Want to see (10):
    Hawthorne Heights
    Hands Like Houses
    Memphis May Fire
    Counterparts
    Silent Planet
    GWAR
    Hundredth
    Anti-Flag
    The Ataris
    Bad Omens

Will see if I have time (11):
    Bowling for Soup
    CKY
    Goldfinger
    Our Last Night
    Candiria
    Hatebreed
    The Acacia Strain
    After The Burial
    Blessthefall
    Carnifex
    Strung Out

That's 31 bands on my list and there's plenty of others I'm somewhat interested in. I think it might need to be 2 dates this year if I'm planning on seeing a good chunk of these. Out of my must sees, the only bands haven't seen yet are Microwave and Boston Manor so those get high priority.

Just went crazy on a spreadsheet. The only bands out of the 32 I have on my list that I won't be able to see are Bowling for Soup and Goldfinger. Not a big deal and that leaves 30. Thinking about doing Long Island and Hartford. Or Camden and Hartford.

I personally think there is an age that isnt well represented, us that were teenagers between 2000-2008. Maybe I just listened to the wrong bands (a large possibility) but the only bands that even remotely interest me from that time are HH and Silverstein and I've seen them both too many times to count. Also I dont get BFS, Anti-Flag, The Ataris or Big D at my date which sucks. Save Ferris and Creeper are two of the few bands on this lineup that I'd be pumped to see. I have like 9-10 bands I would see but I've seen them all way too many times. May have to pass this year unless I just have nothing to do the day of my date.

Only 8 main stage bands playing Left stage, are there just going to be a lot of call ups or longer sets? Or maybe they are adding a band or two?

  19. kidinthebushes

There are only 10 listed on the site. Bowling For Soup and Watsky aren't playing Chicago. These weak main stages will be even weaker with the bump ups.

    but does it djent?

    And here's my list:

Must see: Futuristic, Carnifex, Watsky, The Acacia Strain, Emmure, Alestorm, Gwar, Hatebreed, Beartooth, Attila, After The Burial, Knocked Loose

Want to see: Fit For A King, Counterparts, Silent Planet, Sylar, I Prevail, Sworn In

Will see if I have time: Fire From The Gods, Neck Deep, Memphis May Fire, The White Noise, Dance Gavin Dance

This lineup is stacked for me so I'm ever thankful I'm hitting two dates, two days apart.

Some people want to blame Lyman for this lineup. I don't think he really had a choice. Last year was stacked and those main stage bands weren't going to play in 2017. And for whatever reason, lots of bands we expected to play this year ended up with other plans this summer. I applaud him for trying something different. People will always find something to complain about.

You hit the nail on the head, people will ALWAYS complain.

I honestly got pretty aggravated with this thread last night, something that usually would never happen. People used to get upset that there weren't enough female artists, now there is and it's not good enough because he should have done it years ago. There's just no winning.
