I like cassettes because of the cheap plastic sound they make when a bunch of them are moving around in a bag.

Yeah I think it's gotten to the point where there's no justifying it anymore. When people are getting hurt badly and there's no clear line on how far things should go and what falls on either side, it has to be stopped.

I really wish I could. It's one of the absolute most important albums in my life, but it's all just too painful.

    My opinions:
The Glorious Nosebleed is Circa Survive's best song
The World is. is the most innovative band in their scene
Hop Along is severely under appreciated band and Gnarwolves also
    Turnover is rhythmically boring band.

Raury has way more potential then he's putting out.
    Pablo > Yeezus
Migos has more longevity their music scene than their peers.

I never actually checked out that band, and I'm sure I would enjoy some of what they put out, but I just can't bring myself to go and listen to it. Not that I think it's wrong to, or anything, it just makes me feel sick.

Now this is surprising to me haha. I actually liked Tre quite a bit when it came out but it's pretty boring to me now, and Uno is probably my favorite of the bunch -- which isn't saying all that much, since I don't think it's a great album.

Unearth is the most talented metalcore band out of the NWOAHM crowd and they deserved to of been much bigger.
Lamb of God has put out the same record over and over again.

I think Tell All Your Friends is Taking Back Sunday's worst album, if I had to rank them all. How's that for unpopular?

Edit: I read the thread, so let me expand; I love all the Taking Back Sunday albums, Taking Back Sunday's in my top 5 all time favourite bands, but if I had to rank the albums from best to worst (in comparison to each other) Tell All Your Friends would be ranked last, and I'm pretty sure that's unpopular because a lot of people, definitely the majority, were hoping for a repeat effort when the original lineup reformed in 2010/2011.

Ah! Perfect reminder for me to chime in with my feeling that "New Again" is their BEST album, by far!

Actually I do think that one is good after recently trying it out again... but I just don't think it's great. :/

OH at you leaving off FOUR in the midst of these inferior 1D albums

  12. I can't stand Four other than a few songs. I think 1D are really great at stealing sounds and styles from classic rock and older pop, but the melodies on Four too often come across as straight thievery to me.

  13. 808s is the worst Kanye album.

I thnk Midnight Memories has more straight up theft songs than any other records they've done. I like all their albums but FOUR is goat. Made in the AM was them at their best vocally but it was phoned in imo

Four is the best 1D album by a long shot

I don't really understand what people mean when they say they don't "get" an artist. What's there to get? It's a weird phrase. Makes it sound like there's some secret thing to get about the artist that others have discovered or something when it's just people liking the music.

I think I have a lot of unpopular opinions on here but nobody gives me a hard time over them so that's nice. I've only heard 3 1975 songs but they were all pretty bad. Sometimes on other sites I'll see people post lines from their songs and I think those are bad too. Plus I hate Matty so all those things combined are a no go for me. Glad other people connect so deeply with it tho.

I really dislike NFG. I guess their newer stuff is more widely disliked but I think they've always been unappealing.

idk. I think I'm at odds with most people here musically, but it's cool.

  17. For me, the thievery comes in the melodies, which on Four are so close to, (if not exactly the same as) famous 80s songs that they make me squirm. I simply can't enjoy it; there are even some songs that I love 90% of, yet which have one or two on-the-nose melodies that destroy the song for me.

That's exactly how I feel about Midnight Memories. The melodies from 80s songs they stole are so distracting, much more than on any other album, that I skip a lot of songs. I think that album has the most blatant theft out of them all. Still like it, but its held up less over time.

I've tried to listen to Thrice and Thursday multiple times but I just can not understand the hype behind them.

Meanwhile, I only like recent Senses Fail (Renacer and Pull The Thorns From Your Heart) but I can't stand any of their earlier stuff.

(Edit: Put the wrong title for their most recent album, oops.)

I love all Senses Fail but I would definitely say those two most recent albums are their most "mature"

Ha, it's surprising to me, too. Dos is the only one that I think is a legitimately bad record. I always liked Tre. I've come around on Uno a lot. I think the songwriting on those albums is more solid than I gave it credit for the first time around. "Brutal Love" is one of my favorite Green Day songs.

I think "not getting it" is not understanding the appeal of something rather than just not liking it. Like I don't LIKE One Direction but i wouldn't say I don't "get" them because I can see why they might be popular. I dunno.
