They've headlined riot fest a few years ago and that is a major North American festival

 

Only chance is single days which go in sale tomorrow at 10 am

 

Well when I say major festival I'm referring to the Lollapaloozas, Coachellas, Bonnaroos, Austin City Limits, etc. Blink has never played any of these.

 

I definitely wouldn't call that a major festival. When I say major fest I'm talking about the world known fests, the ones that have 90,000k+ attendees and people fly from all across the globe to attend.

 

Riot fest has that and they draw about 100k a year

 

Riot fest actually draws about. 150k during the weekend

 

Riot Fest is easily a major festival, its stupid to say it isn't honestly.

 

Riot fest draws 150k across 3 days. Lolla/Chella draw 90k PER DAY. Thats a major festival.

I cant believe this is even a discussion lol. When someone asks what the world's biggest festivals are they'll say Coachella, Glastonbury, Reading, Lollapalooza. Riot fest would never be in that conversation.

Riot Fest is still a major festival, but ok. Look at the bands that have played these last few years, they've definitely become a major powerhouse in the festival scene. They've drawn bigger crowds each year.

 

... and with that Riot Fest Denver won't be happening this year

 

Denver has never been large scale. Chicago has always been the focal point and it's shown.

 

I'm bummed about that cuz I was hoping to visit friends in Denver/go to the fest this year.
I'll still consider Chicago if they end up getting OG Smashing Pumpkins.

I played What's My Age and some Bodyjar on our St Paddys jukebox. The Irish bar gave them a rousing reception. I got a few approving nods

 

I live the pre chorus of PLG so much

And KID is mostly trash, BUT it redeems itself a bit by the end when everything is "all in".

Also, first Blink show since 09 tomorrow... AND I realized this morning... Its nearly 15 years to the day since my first Blink show... Hoping it's special

I'm excited to put together a 10 song playlist made from California and the deluxe songs, might just treat that as the album if it's good enough.

 

Only 10? Why not 15-17? I don't think I could narrow it down to 10.

 

Honestly after I posted that I looked at the tracklist and there's probably around 8 California tracks that would make the cut so with the deluxe it'll probably at least be 12.

 

I was just thinking about how I can't wait to see the fan made track lists after the deluxe comes out.

 

Ugh I wish ANY of my blink-fan friends listened to Bodyjar. One of my favorite bands but I've never met a single person in real life who knows them. So depressing.

 

Give me a starting point and I will check them out. Need some new music to listen to.
