This is the release i'm most familiar with: Old Dominion, by Hotel of the Laughing Tree

Edit #2: Damn this is even better than I remember. Definitely a band that needs to be talked about more.

 

If you guys like some beautiful post-hardcore like TDAG you should hear Thursday's No Devolucion

 

I never really liked Thursday but I like that one. Def my favorite Thursday record.

 

I wouldn't consider TDAG post-hardcore.

 

I wouldn't say the two sound alike at all

 

they sound nothing alike sonically but I guess they are both really great dynamic rock records

 

Listened to IAAN for the first time in a long time today. I still think it rules

To this day I don't like I Am A Nightmare, but I don't dislike it. It just kinda exists for me and I never listen to it. So I guess actually I'd probably lean towards not liking it lol

 

It's an okay alt rock song that feels like it was written for radio

 

It leaves a lot to be desired for me personally

 

Yea vocals are so monotone lol

 

I think it's fun. Not their worst song.


Mene really floored me though. I love it.

Love I Am A Nightmare a little lesser.

I love IAAN a lot.

 

Out of range is good. Mene has really grown on me and IAAN is ok for what it is. Nothing groundbreaking but not bad either.

 

IAAN has probably my favorite lyrics and messages from the band.

"I want to throw up snakes" is such a deep line. I imagine it to be the act of wanting so bad to expel all your bad qualities, habits, and vices, no matter how unpleasant it could be.

 

It just sounds funny.

 

What do you guys think of Daisy? Been jamming it a lot these days, love every second of it.
