A 10 year tour of The Cleansing in the fall would also really help their odds of getting back into the good graces of theie fanbase. I don't doubt that the live show is there, but yikes. Did any of the album release shows sell out?

 

I'm up in the air about that 10 year tour. I personally think that'll alienate even more fans since most of their social media comments are made up of "Eddie sucks. Mitch rules" posts. It really could go either way but a typical SS setlist only has 1-2 songs from The Cleansing on there. In my opinion, it would work for a cash grab and would attract a good amount of people but it does nothing for their future.

 

Well put, and I agree to most of that. I wasn't a huge fan of the album, I gave it a chance. I like the idea of an intimate tour, my thought is down the road they will just have this album as a grey area like some bands have some albums. My worry is that they seem so stuck up about it that they won't change. A band like BMTH made the change over a long period of time, not suddenly and it worked well in their favor but this was not a good idea.

I'd be down for a ten year of The Cleansing but agree to the fact it would alienate fans more. It just seems like this whole album's return was not worth the risk.

 

Thank you! I understand that they put out a new album, where they devoted a lot of time and money, and for their fans to hate it is heartbreaking. They went all in with a new sound and it flopped. Also, I hated how their drummer would talk shit about their fans and the band calling out Thy Art is Murder. I get they were trying to create controversy but that's the WORST way to do it. If you have to resort to call someone out, call out a pop act or basically ANYONE not related to rock/metal. I mean, Eminem made a career out of doing that haha. BMTH is a perfect example of a band that slowly introduced their new sound and it worked beautifully for them. I honestly have no idea where they should go from here but if they're still stuck up about everything, they won't be a band in 3 years.

 

So the UABB/WTR/KK/Coldcasket tour was announced, I think that the MMI/UABB/KK tour is still happening though. The UABB headliner is short and the post I saw the MMI headliner in said it was happening in June.

 

MMI/TWA is probably a thing at this point now that this is all coming out. TWA are gonna be touring in that time frame and they said it's with some long time friends. i'm leaning towards MMI/TWA co-headliner

 

The only good thing at it was that it was 30 minutes from my place... and parking was free.

The same sorta thing happened with five finger death punch when rumors of the lead singer beating his wife. Their manager used it as an opportunity to get free press for their new album. Didn't have much respect for the bad before that now I have non. It's horrible

they were supposively going to make a comeback at Skate and Surf fest this year according to little rumors from John D but that all seems shut down at this point

 

The Modern Baseball tour wasn't coming here, but man I hope this hits the NW

 

It was a shitty thing to do but from a marketing standpoint, it worked. That album was their best charting album and I believe their best selling album to date.

 

DMX is playing at a bar down the street from me. I guess it's never too late to go to my first rap show.
