If Bill is making your same argument isn't that a bad thing?

  2. I don't think so, for one. I think he's right for two, and evaluate based on the argument not the person. I don't know what other deal is out there that's better.

I can't listen to anymore Simmons, but even if this is the best deal, why rush and get it done all star instead of trying to improve other deals? Doesn't seem to be a shortage of teams making offers, why not pursue those offers and even try to get a second pick out of New Orleans?

Simmons' whole argument was based on the Kings wanting a young player and a 2017 first round pick. They could have relaxed those requirements and gotten a better return (like Andre Drummond, for example)

He also wrote off a bunch of teams like the Nuggets and Jazz because they already have centers... except the Pelicans also already had a center and that didn't stop them

McCollum is great and I think Ingram will eventually be an above average or better player, but I'm taking Boogie over either right now.

I mean... you traded one average starter, probably a rotational player in his future and a NBA journeyman, along with a pick probably 14 to 18 for a top 3 center who possibly can be toxic but the only real situation we saw him was a dysfunctional kings organization. Seems like a fine risk.

I doubt any major trades happen because now every gm is gonna try to lowball because of this trade, it basically destroyed the market for high caliber players.

I saw the nets wanted two firsts for Lopez, after the cousins trade it immediately went down to a first and second. Haha

He explains all that in the podcast. All those questions are answered. Plus with all the info floating out today, I don't think the offers were there people want to think were there.

Man I do not want to listen to more Simmons, I thought I got out. But I also want to make the joke on the internet that he's bad and dumb. But I need more information to determine he is a big dummy, but to get that information I'd have to listen to his big dumb voice and probably like five celtics trades to get Jimmy Butler and five minutes on why Isaiah is better than Kyrie or something.

But also I think the Boogie trade is going to be judged differently in the future, especially if he doesn't gel in New Orleans which he probably won't, and they might not even make the playoffs when they should. But even if I think Boogie is straight trash and a team cancer and all the most horrible things possible, I still think they could've gotten two firsts for him.

There better be more trades to talk about soon

  12. Remember when the Boston-Brooklyn trade went down and he called it the "poo poo platter"?

Worked out pretty well for Boston.

It still hasn't worked out for Boston, they drafted a bunch of role players with high picks. 700 guards forever.

Larry Sanders is in Cleveland today for a workout. Not sure what a guy who hasn't played since December of 2014 can do to help out a championship contending team but it'd definitely provide the Cavs with some depth at the center position.

Probably shot blocking and that's about it, he never had an offensive game.

Apparently Sacramento liked Vuc and Fournier for Boogie and the Magic said no. Rob Hennigan is the fucking worst.

I'm not sure what the backlash about Simmons is all about other than the usual, but his argument about Cousins makes complete sense.

You're just not getting a King's ransom for Boogie. Anyone who has been following the saga of Boogie Cousins and the direction of the league since 2015 knows that. Sacramento waited too long to trade him while toxic stories circulated around the league. Young players are never good enough for him, vets take "too much credit" for winning (whatever that means), and everyone else is the enemy. A big man hasn't won anyone a title since KG, and KG brought way more value by protecting the rim.

Nuggets, Celtics, and Lakers fans should be over the moon.

The Knicks or the Mavs will get Cousins in a few years and probably still won't be in the playoffs.

Would be crazy if Rose went back to Thibs. He'd have to monitor his minutes though . Rose shouldn't have to play heavy minutes with Wiggins and KAT on the floor though. Rose is still a closer too, so he would be good to have. Plus, Twolves would be getting an extra 15-17 ppg from Rose.

The Knicks didn't want to take any significant amount of money back, I wonder if it includes a protected pick lol

    JK phils not that smart
