I think most of the league was like 'nah' to get Cousins. You mean to tell me that Vlade couldn't get a better deal than Hield and a mid-1st rounder???

It's very much known that the guy is a cancer and a headcase. Obviously, the Kings got fleeced, but what does that say about DeMarcus Cousins? The guy was such a cancer in Sacramento that they were willing to pretty much give him away five days before the trade deadline. And, I know the Kings front office is inept, but I have to believe they tried to get better offers but no one was willing to give up serious assets for for a serious risk.

 

I completely agree with you, just saying for all the people complaining about it; he is that hard to deal with and that's why the return

 

I'm glad Denver didn't push for Cousins. I get that that the NBA is a star-driven league but imo he's not the kind you want. I know the Kings weren't exactly flush with talent, but he didn't make his teammates better by any means. Their FO is a joke and i'm sure that was frustrating for Cousins, but he didn't do himself any favors either

So they want young al Jefferson when they already have old al Jefferson lol that would be awful, not the player they need at all

 

Probably one of the only ones they can get, but doesn't make sense with Miles playing pretty solid lately

I think I'm the only person left in Minnesota who wants to keep Rubio

 

I just want to jump in the deep end and make Dunn the starter, so even if we don't win as much, we get another good pick, and Dunn then gets more experience

 

I feel like you could probably play fultz with Dunn but then Lavine would get less minutes

 

I get the mindset but I am a bit worried about Dunn. He is only 3 years younger than Rubio and he has not impressed me much. He has shown flashes at times tho. Honestly I hope I'm wrong and he turns into a stud, I just worry we will give up Rubio and then he will bust

 

I don't think Dunn is a bust but he doesn't give Minnesota the shooting they need. You could always flip two point guards into other needs and draft a guard that's good and can shoot high, or play them together or have one come off the bench. It's not a bad situation.

 

Yeah I'm not ready to call him a bust yet. I just like Rubio more then most. IMO if they trade Rubio I don't understand why they want to get a point guard in return. Thibs has been rumored to want to trade him for a veteran guard who can hold things down until Dunn is ready, but to me that could be exactly what Ricky is

If the Kings had waited they could have gotten a better deal. If I'm a GM of any other team, you bet your ass I'm gonna throw the Kings a low ball offer first. They've shown themselves to make god awful deal after god awful deal, so why even offer close to true market value for Boogie?

 

sure cousins is a headcase at times, but he is also a top 3 center in the league, i think the risk and potential outweigh his psychological tendancies, and im sure playing for a fairly inept organization and front office like the Kings waffling on what to do with him probably messed with him a bit as well.

 

Him and Davis playing together should be amazing to watch - like, who do you focus on to guard?
