he's leaving on a high. that game was hilarious in a refereeing context. pretty much every match i've seen this season has been.

 

Our game against Burnley was 90 minutes of Clattenburg trying to one up himself

 

Wonder if more refs will make the move, won't blame them if they do tbh. Good weather and more money.

Middle Eastern money ruins football by buying all the top refs, that's not the way I thought it'd ruin it.

Embarrassing performance

 

The standard of referees in general this season in the Premier League has been shocking. I think absolutely every team can complain about one or two results being changed by poor refereeing. How has it gotten this bad?


On the plus side, the fact I also heavily follow La Liga really puts things into perspective as their referees can't even name the right players in their match report, and generally make decisions every single game that convince me they don't actually know a single law of the sport.

 

I always thought complaints about referee performances were overblown until this year

 

the general standard of refereeing in europe this season has been criminal. it makes games awful to watch, because there's a wrong decision every few minutes. not even just big decisions. there's simple things that the refs just keep getting wrong, game in, game out.

 

i hate these later kick offs. put it at fecking 19:45 plz

 

Just like the majority of things on the internet, they are.

 

We need to upgrade from Dier and Davies. Both guys have been awful in their time filling in for Vertonghen and Rose. We also need to add another attacking midfielder. Such a lack of creativity if Eriksen isn't at his best or if he's resting. We really need someone else to take the load off of him.
