Go Preds/Wild/Blues/Panthers/Sharks/Caps! I don't really care, honestly. I just want a team that hasn't won the Cup before to win...

Preparing for a game one bloodbath when either Svedberg or Ehrhoff filling in for Keith, hopefully this first round series follows the model of 2014

Probably going to root for the Caps. Would be nice to see Ovi lift the cup.

Both my Wild and Wings backed into the playoffs in epic fashion. At least we have decent match ups? Idk.

Either way, excited for 5 more months of hockey.

Hoping for Pens/Isles and Panthers/Rangers. I think the Panthers can sneak past the banged up Rangers, I want to see them make a little noise. The East has been so predictable the last few years, I've seen enough of the Rangers for awhile

Hoping for Pens/Rags and Panthers/Isles. Can't see the Rangers beating Pittsburgh, and I think the Isles would take their series agains Florida. Would probably prefer Detroit ahead of Tampa, if only for it being Datsyuk's last year. Definitely Washington over Philly for me.

In the West I'm hoping San Jose, St. Louis, or Nashville can make a run.

Don't really have a lot of respect for this decision. I get the guy wants to go home, but unless you are physically unable to do so, you should honor the commitment you made to franchise who treated you like gold your entire career. Barring the Wings being able to trade his contract to a budget, cap floor team (which is viable considering the salary won't actually have to be paid), he's willingly handicapping the team for a year. It doesn't sit well with me.

Not to sound off like a dick, but I mean, sure that's one selfish way of looking at it. The other is that he's been separated from his 13 year old daughter for years and he wants to be a part of her life going forward. I don't really understand how you can blame him for following his heart and a personal decision, but sure...
