I love basically the entire first 9 songs. It's slightly hit or miss for the last 5 but overall I like this album a lot more than I expected to, speaking as a gigantic Lupe fan. I expected it to be more of a throwaway but this is probably my 4th favorite album by him now behind the first two and T&Y. Very excited for the real albums now

Idk if it's been posted in here yet but I posted it in the Future thread already and it just seems like this is getting slept on. Probably because it's not on Apple Music or Spotify. Pluto 2 coming soon!

So I've been real into Chance The Rapper for a little bit now, but I haven't been able to find anything else that I Lise as much as him. I liked the last Kendrick album and Gambino's Because The Internet, but aside from that I haven't been able to find much that I can really get into. Anyone have any recommendations? Just sick of listening to the same few releases when I want to listen to something in this realm of music.

Have you listened to Kanye? If not, fix that first

I knew someone was gonna say Kanye haha. I've listened to The Life Of Pablo and some random singles. I do like him, but when an artist has as much music as he does its always tough for me to figure out where to start, and I always find myself jumping around. But yea, Kanye too. Other than that I have no clue where to go from there. I'll find my way as things get released, but if anyone here has any ideas, I'm happy to check anything out.

Lol I wouldn't say Kanye has that much music actually compared to some others in this genre. College Dropout and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy at the very least are must-listens, though I absolutely love all of it. If you want to get into his stuff I would just go in order to see his progression as an artist.

Other suggestions for the kind of hip-hop you seem to like would be maybe Vic Mensa (since you love Chance so much), Kid Cudi, Lupe Fiasco, the rest of Black Hippy besides Kendrick (ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, and Jay Rock), or A$AP Rocky. You should give Drake a chance too, especially his two albums Take Care and Nothing Was the Same. This is all very surface level stuff but I find a lot of people can get into hip-hop through these artists

I cant stand Drake for whatever reason. My girlfriend likes a good amount of his songs and I hate most of them. As far as Vic Mensa, Ive listened There's A Lot Going On once and the only thing I can really say is I don't remember anything about it so maybe I should listen to it again, but I'd rather keep exploring. I guess I feel the same way about Kanye a little bit, just way less. I do like him, just not nearly not as much as I like the artists I mentioned before. That said, I really do need to listen to more because I've really only scraped the surface of his discography so I don't have that much got go off of.

You'd probably love Innanetape by Vic Mensa, it's pretty similar to Acid Rap and came out around the same time

Kind of depends on why you like Chance. You could listen to Blu & Exile - Below The Heavens and if you like it I can give you more. Keep in mind it's quite a different recommendation from the ones you already got.

Since you like Chance the Rapper, you should listen to Noname's Telefone from last year. She's featured on his projects before.

Noname is a great recommendation, yeah. Also, maybe check out Rhymefest's first album.

Another one of my favourite releases from the last few years is Milo's So the Flies Don't Come. I like all the artists you listed so maybe you'll like Milo too haha:

I think there is some really broad recommending going on here :crylaugh: It probably helps though, if he skims trough all of it and tells us what he liked we can go from there
