I always just been a dedicated/romantic relationship driven dude so it was always kinda assumed I'd get into something early. Even in first grade I was saying I wanted to be a father/husband when I grow up (i'm a lame) lmao. I never had a "Age" of expectation but I did somewhat expect to be married by the time I'm 30. Still in that race lol.

I mentioned to my buddy today a coworker of mine was cute, mentioned "She's a tiny white girl" and his eyes damn near popped out of his head "Since when you into white girls?!?" Like.... I never wasn't? Just.... preferences I guess? lol
Always awkward being in that moment when people make a show of that stuff.

apparently there's a dating app now called Hater that shows you people who have swiped up to like or down to hate things and will tell you how similar you are in swipes in a %. So for example, things will come up like Communism, obvious like and swipe up, and things like Capitalism, Trump, "building a wall", etc, obvious dislikes and swipe down, and so on and so forth

One caveat...you actually get to see what specifically that person liked or disliked when you view their profile...

...Had I known that, I would have "passed" on liking or hating things like, oh i don't know, "butt stuff" when it popped up

I hope I'm married by the time I'm 30, or at least with someone who I will be getting married too. I'm a little weary to date any time soon as I plan to move to Japan once I'm done with school and I feel like most people won't be willing to commit to that.

I have it and swipe every once in a while, but I'm never able to get myself to message matches first, I always wait to see if they do. And the few guys I've actually gone out with and liked (it's been quite a while since that has happened) eventually disappear because I'm so quiet at first. Feeling pretty defeated at this point.

I'll be concerned when I'm age 75 and not in a relationship or married. And even then I probably won't care because dementia.

Dang, I feel like I have the opposite problem haha. It's annoying to me how often people ask me when I'm "putting a ring on it" or whatever, like it's any of their business. It's always people who don't know me or my girlfriend, and assume that just because she's a woman that getting married is like the only thing she thinks about or something. We are very open in communication and are very happy with the way things are right now, but people always want to act like they know what she wants more than I do.

To be a little fair, we have been together for about 8 years. But similarly to you, asking when I'm gonna "man up" and propose or whatever feels like a weird stock first response. So, I guess the grass is always greener lol.

Down here I should be married with 10 kids at my age. I can't tell you how many times I've been told to get my Mrs. degree and be a stay at home wife (yeah right). They don't want to see a woman succeed especially when it comes to college and jobs. Fuck that. I'm fine making my own money and I'll never give up my autonomy.

I was trying to describe myself to someone

Was correct about the shit hitting the fan. She broke it off last night. Turns out that she doesn't think we can work long term and that she's far more insecure than I would have ever imagined.

Would have been great if she'd maybe not waited until I'd bought us both bus tickets to London this weekend though. That's going to be a lonely, expensive journey.

Damn. You're still gonna go? That sounds awful

It's a trip to see my siblings (who were meant to be meeting her for the first time), so only the bus itself will be lonely. Just a pain in the arse because I bought two bus tickets (so the whole journey will be one long rattling fucking reminder that things have gone badly) and I only bought bus tickets because the train was too expensive. Thing is, two bus tickets costs the same as the shitting train. So, I get to have a longer, less comfortable journey and pay double for the privilege.

I'm also quite frustrated by the end too. I really quite liked her.

I don't hear when you getting married (probably cus my family knows I date outside my race almost exclusively and a few don't like that - but they can suck eggs on that) more so 'When you bringing in some Mini Josh's?" (yeah, i know the logic there is amazing).

I never had the "man up" thing cus people always knew I was about that life so i guess they went to kids next lmao. But i feel you, I been with my girl 6 years and people assume a lot. She made the first move on the marriage thing, didn't propose but asked if I wanted to pretty suggestively YEARS AGO and it was like "of course" like I knew I would but back then it was still fairly early in our overall relationship. Next day I'm proposing lol. We both knew from super early on we were something unique in and to each other though. I woudn't suggest many get engaged so soon after getting together like me and my girl did years ago haha.

People should know better than to ask me about kids. They shouldn't even ask me about pets tbh. I can't wait to live alone with no other people or annoying pets and really revel in my bona fide hermit status.

Yeah, surprisingly, my family doesn't seem to give a shit about that stuff either. Granted, I've consistently been in relationships since I was 19. My brother, however, is 37 and I don't know if he's ever been in a serious relationship, and I doubt he ever will be, which is fine.

I feel like one day I'll just magically acquire a cat, you're single enough it just happens, their name would of course be Furgalicious or Furgie for short

  25. Oof yeah the asking about kids is probably rough haha. Luckily my family, as well as hers, is really supportive of our relationship and doesn't ever pry on our personal decisions. Props to you knowing what you wanted and going for it though, I know you don't suggest going the same route but there's something to be said for those that seize the opportunity when it presents itself like that!
