Don't think I've ever posted in this thread but I grew up this band.

I need to check out their newer records. I honestly don't think I've listened to one since Mmhmmm.

Anatomy is probably my favorite followed by Two Lefts.....

 

You need to listen to Forget and Not Slow Down immediately. Collapsible Lung and Air For Free you can skip, CL is terrible and AFF is meh

I agree CL was a little underwhelming but disagree on Air For Free. I really enjoyed that one!

 

Five Score is pretty decent, FANSD is good, the last two are garbage

 

Air For Free is nowhere near garbage wow.

 

It's just as bad as CL

FANSD is fantastic, Five Score and AFF are great, CL is pretty throwaway.

 

Although I will say, despite thinking that mmhmm through fansd are very solid albums, I never revisit them anymore because the last two have soured me on the band so badly. They went full how I met your mother

 

To each their own but it's a real head scratcher how you could clump songs like Heartache, Runnin', Local Construction, etc. in with the same category as CL.

 

I like AFF way more than CL but I'd still take like half of CL over Runnin', ha.

 

CL is bad and those songs are bad

Runnin' and Local Construction are highlights for suuuurrreeee.

My top 5 favorites are probably those two, Marigold, Cat, and Elephant Parade

 

Dang, I love the City Winery! That would've been really cool to attend

 

Air For Free is outstanding

 

Matt has some solo-ish stuff like this for a while that has never seen the light of day. I saw a solo set of his like... 5 or 6 years ago where he played multiple solo tracks that have never gone anywhere. I would love them all to come out someday.... somewhere

 

Runnin', Cat and Elephant Parade are all among my least favourites on that album, ha. I cut those three when I made my shortened version of the album.
