Oh and I'm late, here's my (current, but will definitely change) 10 in no particular order:

    Gates
    Sun Hotel
    The Obituaries
    Lookers
    House On Fire
    Victory Gin
    Sculptors And Vandals
    Burn After Writing
    Bad Things
    I Can't Seem To Tell

That was so fucking hard to do.

I thought "If we drive straight, damned if we get tired" was "If we drive straight, Denver if we get tired".

I'm like...logistically that would be on the way to LA!

Edit: another lyrics site says Denver.

    SOMEONE CONFIRM PLS

Australian fans! It's awesome they got down there this early into the cycle.

On a quick side note, sorry our government officials are crazy and pissing you guys off. Most of this country doesn't support their actions. Love our friends down under and all over. Now back to The Menzingers.

I agree with a lot of points in that review but I'm definitely more positive on the album than he is. I do think it's about 2 songs too long and that most of what this album does well has been done better by this band before.

I really don't understand how Cohen sums up that review with a 6.5. Really the only major criticism is that it's 1-2 songs too long.

Yeah like I don't disagree with a lot of that review but I certainly see it in a positive light, closer to a 7.5-8

look at the score and review independently, if you judge both at the same time you aren't pitchforking properly

In what world does any part of "House on Fire" qualify as the album's best melody?

That's really the only hook on the album that falls flat for me.

it did for me at first, but I'm starting to catch onto it. Same for Charlie's Army.

Yeah, House On Fire might be my least favorite on here, though I definitely still like it.

While Tom's songs are better on here vocally than the last two albums, they are still the weakest.

I'd agree with PFork review and most likely cut thick as thieves and house on fire. Maybe move up Boy Blue to track 2 or something.

"Charlie's Army" is kind of a throwaway for me, but it's fun and the hook is great. "House on Fire" is the only one that feels forgettable to me.

Other than that, I really like Tom's songs on here. "Boy Blue" and "Thick as Thieves" aren't highlights, but they're great songs.

Boy Blue is the one track that falls flat for me. It's the only one I want to skip sometimes, although I sometimes think that with Think As Thieves purely because it's a good track, sandwiched between two great tracks.
