    hmmm

I've had it on in the background today and I think it's alright so far, though I'll have to have a couple of 'proper' listens tonight.

I can see myself becoming a little obsessed with the chorus to Hidden Knives.

Listened to it three times and I've enjoyed it. Last two songs after "White Offerings" kind of dragged but I was into the rest of it except for "Dumb Kids." Only songs I've really grown attached to are "Hidden Knives," "Snow Cats" and "Aurelia." Burials took me a few listens for me to sink into so I'm sure it'll be the same with this one.

off the top of my head i think my stand outs were dark snow, hidden knives, above the bridge, and feed the floor. pleasant surprise is there's no immediate skips on that album; i loved burials but it had a few.

I thought I was the only one who thought One By One is underrated!

Unfortunately I agree with most of you that this is pretty underwhelming. I've kind of realized that my enjoyment of AFI albums follows a real bell curve, with Sing the Sorrow being the peak

There's still plenty of songs on here that I enjoy like the singles, Get Hurt, Still a Stranger, Hidden Knives, etc., but none of it is their best work.

I still fucking love seeing them live and will never miss a show though

  6. Man the first two singles were so good and the rest of the album is a snoozer - a huge downgrade from Burials

Their setlist last night was so good. Wish they'd mix it up more like that when they tour behind albums. Usually their sets are very "safe"

  8. Interesting setlist indeed, lots of rarities there.

They are playing here at 2000 cap venue here- 40 dollar tickets tho. Don't plan on going. I like this album enough but I'm only really familar with Sing the Sorrow and Decemberundergroud. Also I don't particularly have an eye for production and I'm listening on a pair of Skullcandys (for 8 dollars they're p good) but production is not good - sounds kinda empty?

I don't know about this one. I heard a little bit last night and it did nothing for me.

Wow I don't know how I feel about that setlist. No Dancing Through Sunday or God Called In Sick Today? I'd honestly rather hear newer stuff than older stuff

This was a fanclub show. The regular set will almost assuredly be not as heavy on the old stuff

Ah okay I thought it was the start of the full tour.

I wonder why they don't play longer sets though. They're on their tenth album now but they still only tend to play 18-19 songs

18-19 songs is a pretty good number for me haha. Coheed are my favorite band and I would kill to see them play 19 songs (granted, some of them are longer). They may have more material, but they're also older and performing every night is kinda hard

  17. Not a fan of the setlist. There are much better new songs than Aurelia and Dumb Kids, like Hidden Knives, Still A Stranger or White Offerings.

wtf happened. this record has none of the scale or even the hooks of burials. it just sounds flat and half-written

also a 46 minute album should not feel this long

Also I know it was a single and everything but can we just eliminate Beautiful Thieves from, like, everything and never play it again.

For a tour right after the new album drops is seems very, very weird to me to only have THREE songs from it on the set? I don't remember what they did when I saw them right after Crash Love came out but I feel like there was a higher portion of newer songs.

If they wanna kick Beautiful Theives for Kill Caustic this would be pretty much be my ideal setlist tbh

I'm liking White Offerings, Pink Eye, Aurelia, and So Beneath You on my first couple of listens. It feels like some of the choruses are incomplete though. I don't know...

  24. Few choruses seem oddly repetitive, like Aurelia and Above The Bridge.

I can't stand Pink Eyes. That and the closer are the only ones I skip at this point
