I love primates. Gibbons have become my favorite animals thanks to my interactions with them at the Philly Zoo. Orangutans too. Been checking products for Palm Oil before buying but I've sometimes found it hard to avoid, sadly.

Some people will say that words like scum and rotten are wrong for Objective Journalism — which is true, but they miss the point. It was the built-in blind spots of the Objective rules and dogma that allowed Nixon to slither into the White House in the first place. He looked so good on paper that you could almost vote for him sight unseen. He seemed so all-American, so much like Horatio Alger, that he was able to slip through the cracks of Objective Journalism. You had to get Subjective to see Nixon clearly, and the shock of recognition was often painful.

 

Attending a candlelight vigil tonight with my dad, and then driving up to Lansing for the Women's March on Lansing. It's only a march symbolically, as they couldn't secure the funds to get a permit for actual marching, but it will still be a powerful event I'm sure.

Beyond the next 24 hours, I'd like to get involved with redistricting efforts and the midterm elections.

Sorry about the late reply. But yeah I was watching a live stream from USA Todays facebook and it was getting pretty nasty. Apparently it was peaceful and then some people started throwing stuff at police and then shit started to get hectic. Then they smashed a Banks windows and a Starbuck's windows apparently.
