Add me to the list of "people who should probably be looking diligently for a job but are dragging their feet"

I'll get around to it soon.

I'm definitely in the same boat. I did finally update my resume this weekend lol. Looking for a new job just fills me with too much anxiety and I put it off.

I'm with all ya'll, in the process of looking for jobs. It's tough though because I know I'm not going to be living here for very long and not many places want to train someone just for them to leave in a month or two.

Job hunting is so stressful, feel like I have no skills and so many want more experience than I have

always apply even if you dont meet all qualifications. many jobs put more qualifications than they really need on job descriptions to weed people out before they even apply.

Yep, same boat here. Just graduated in December and have had absolutely no luck. I'm sure I could be out there and doing more but it's super scary and intimidating. I hate everyone telling me that living here is "half the battle" when I still am not finding anyone who wants to hire me haha

For me, I'm looking out of state but don't feel I have enough experience for anyone looking to hire. :/

I manage a community campus, which includes a gym, pool and a school with about 1000 pupils.
Two staff members were close to an hour late this morning. Someone almost drowned in the pool because one of my lifeguards was not paying attention. We had a fire alarm triggered, and no one followed procedure, and it was a disaster. I got into a shouting match with my old head teacher who runs the school because, despite the fact I'm meant to be in charge events like that, she wouldn't listen. Staff members started crying and panicking.
I'm normally a very calm person, but my big boss told me to leave early as she "didn't actually think I could get angry and I had been through enough for the day". All of this had happened before 1pm.

And now to top it off, I have 4 hours of super fun Health and Safety meetings penciled in to deal with everything that happened yesterday. Woohoo!

I don't plan on staying in NY much longer either, really just wanted to find (consistent) work to build up enough of a base to move finally. I'm sure that will take a few months since my girl has to establish her half of this as well. So I'm not TOO concerned about length of time left here till I move... but I will say it concerned me when looking too. Nerves/anxiety is no fun.

I can't get hired because I don't have a car. I have about 2 places within walking distance, both hospitals. I have 5 years experience in the medical field but they won't hire me. And the job I do now is basically being phased out so I'm basically fucked. I don't even like working in the medical field but I feel like that's all I qualify for since I have some experience and knowledge of like medical terminology, etc. Life is hard.

Def apply for everything. I applied for an assistant position with a degree but no experience. They interviewed me and offered the job but then a few days later they called and asked me to interview for the position of the person I was gonna assist, which paid like $10 more an hour. I got it and have been fumbling awkwardly thru life since.

Applying for jobs blows, particularly after you've just moved to a new city (aka me in Oct 2015). It's two huge life stressors rolled into one! Right now my company is being sold and they are having to split up the two parts of the business (one part makes big machines, one part makes small machines), so like 200 people are in limbo right now. My job should be okay for now but even "thinking about maybe looking for a new position at some point here" riddles me with anxiety.

I have what (I think) amounts to a try out for a promotion tomorrow night and my bosses talked to me about the job tonight but said they're still gonna open it up for the public, just to see the applicants. I have a feeling I'm not getting the job which isn't that big of a deal to me, though I would like to be making more money than I am now.

Interview went well, I now wait for an email to fill out something and attach my college transcript so they can do a background check and take it from there. Guy seemed to like me, got on easy, he seemed to like that I was flexible so seems to be going well.

Though I did get that annoying dry back of the throat cough shit towards the end... i hate that stuff lol.

    It did, thanks.

I'm still awaiting the email but between me waiting for the call back, and the manager complaining about the girl who does control getting paperwork out/emails out/makes the calls... she seems to be a lag ass lol. So i'm trying not to worry too much about things taking a lil bit lol.

I think I fucked something really, really big and extremely important up at work today. Now I'm freaking out so bad ugh. And I won't know unless they email me and let me know (which would mean I'm probably fired....). So prob gonna be freaking out until like next week because I assume they would know by then but who even knows.....Shit.

Is it something you can get in front of? Like send an email saying "hey guys I'd like to check so and so"

Unfortunately nope. The document was already sent to the client and can't be unsent so ugh. I'm hoping it is just me being anxious because this is a new client and I wasn't really trained at all so I'm just kinda fumbling through everything.
