  1. Listened to an Intro to M83 playlist this morning on Apple Music, that was pretty nice. Been listening to Weezer (The White Album), Tame Impala and Explosions in the Sky recently.

Well, and I'm actually jealous you get to have "new" Now, Now for yourself, even if it's not really a new album, but I'm still waiting to have that feeling of listening to something as good as this from them!

    Cartel - Chroma

I keep revisiting this to see if it'll suddenly click more, but it never has. It's just ok to me, I much prefer their later records like Cycles and Collider.

I just listened to Oso Oso for the first time. Awesome band.

    There's a monster under all this tulle;

I can't get over how surprisingly good Weezer's White Album is right now.

Currently studying so I'm having a rotation going:

    -Jeff Rosenstock's We Cool?
    - Deftone's Gore
    - Thrice's Vheissu
    - Father's I'm a Piece of Shit

That is crazy to me. I feel the exact opposite way, but I suppose I'm in the majority. I absolutely loved Chroma but was never really able to get into any of their later albums.

That's an original opinion :) What about their self-titled record? A lot of people hated it when it came out, but I absolutely love it, some songs are true hits for me ;D

Right now I'm alone at the office and I'm giving a first spin to the new Weezer album.

It's pretty hit or miss. I rarely listen to it all the way through, but I enjoy the poppier songs on there.

I like to go back to some certain songs as well, but I can sit through the whole album easily. I liked the poppy ones, but I guess I felt quite the opposite and really fell for the moodier songs there - like for example "I Will Hide Myself Away" with its monotonous drive and 5/4 signature breaks between parts, and I really started enjoying "Wasted" long time after it came out, finding some upbeat Sufjan Stevens-like instrumentation in the core of the song (hate the remix though!).

Good to reminisce, I'll try to spin that after I'm done with Weezer :) I listened to "Bare Essentials" a lot lately, but they didn't put too much from the s/t on it, that's way I reminded myself how underappreciated it possibly was :)

Just checked out the new Weezer album, I was skeptical. Like really skeptical. But dang that album is catchy. I'm back in the Weezer bandwagon.

    Cursive - The Ugly Organ

I bought this record six years ago because they were opening up for Alkaline Trio. Never listened to it because I bought a lot of other records around that time and it got lost in the shuffle and I didn't get around to it. Finally decided to change that this morning and I've been hooked on it all day. Sounds like a weird, deranged musical and I'm all for this kind of stuff.

    I'm Back.

Upon This Dawning - We Are All Sinners

Post-Hardcore/Black Metal band from Italy. Holy hell this is probably one of the hardest things I've listened to outside of straight up death/black metal...and it's actually good.

Rings of Saturn - Lugal Ki En

Best technical death metal I've heard in a long time.

    Finer Things - Missouri EP

The resurgence of the early 2000's sounding emo gets me really excited, this is a great EP and people need to check it out.

    Others to include:

    Clay Cages
    Free Throw
    You+Me
    Wolf:Speak
    The American Scene

Look for the anniversary reissue / deluxe edition on your streaming service of choice because there are a ton of worthy b-sides that were mostly all worthy of being on the proper album!

The same over here! I stopped listening to them long time ago, but made sure to check it out, and it's in fact catchy and quite good!

Which album? ;D I loved that band! I like to go back to both of their LPs from time to time.
