My family as a whole is very hot & cold, and she's the matriarch of that but when everything is in the good, holidays, birthdays, etc she makes sure to do all she can to make it as nice as possible.
She was the President of an Art Guild (I don't know if @iCarly Rae Jepsen or any other Long Islanders would know about North Shore Art Guild - they use to meet on bald hill) growing up, she was always painting, drawing, etc but she was most known for her Paper Mache sculptures. Had a her own folk artist style. Making people her own holiday ornaments/decorations be they Santas/Bunnies/Devils (mainly for Valentines), etc. I always loved her Jesters most as a kid lol.

Definitely a big reason I'm so odd, eccentric, and still full of imagination still today. I can't complain when Mom is being Mom lol.

 

She had got me a dagger for a Christmas gift one time as well lol. If I can find that one I'd take a pic but no idea where it is atm.

I keep sending my girl these comics i do cus she says she wants to do creative stuff together but she says this character I keep sending is too dark for her (but i'm not? lmao). So, I made him a girlfriend that looks oddly like her. Now she's invested lmfao.

 

What's the point of vitamin c if it doesn't instantly heal you?

Atlanta's getting snow and we're sitting at a comfortable 50something degrees lol Insane.

 

My rm asked me to "sit down and talk" and have coffee with her but she flaked out and rescheduled for tomorrow. I've been wondering what it's about all week and now I have to wait longer. I feel like she's engaged cause she broke up with her bf and it seems they're back together and ppl always get engaged right after they break up and get back together. So maybe she's moving out?

Or maybe it's about nothing and I am overreacting but "sit down and talk" is much more dramatic than like "hey wanna get some coffee or something"

 

please make it stop snowing by the end of the month cus I'm comin' through to check out that Oregon lifestyle

 

Idk which part of Oregon you're going to but it's probably the better side that doesn't snow as much so you'll probably be okay! I'm on the loser side that gets all the snow dumped on it and it's not letting up anytime soon!

 

Flying into Portland and probably spending most of my time in or near Bend with a little in Portland. Good or bad?

 

Pdx is usually not too bad in terms of actual snowfall tho when it happens everyone freaks and traffic is ridic. Idk how bend will be but theres weather alerts thru that area rn. Hopefully it calms down. But pdx and bend are nice cities to choose imo!!

 

I don't really care if it's snowing/snowy while I'm there. Just hoping it doesn't fuck with either of my flights.

 

Lol the snow prob isn't even that bad it's just the first time I've had to notice cause it hasn't ever snowed this much since I've been driving. Snow is funner when ur a kid.

 

snow being fun is literally the only thing about being a kid I look back fondly on

 

It was always fun for the first few days but then it's just cold and miserable. I remember my mom locking us outside because she insisted we needed to "have fun" in the snow and I've been bitter to snow ever since!!

 

This is the first time it's snowed where I've lived. So naturally I'm too sick to do anything.

 

Didn't bother shoveling today, everyone took the L cus it was coming down most of the day anyway... Tomorrow is suppose to have some more so I'm sure shoveling tomorrow will be fun...

I still love snow aesthetically and I don't even mind the conditions of it, I just hate shoveling. Though, I will say... walking past a tree and slightly bumping it or touching a branch and some snow falling down the back of your neck is never fun either lol.

 

Wake up, take a shower & have a cup of tea to "come to"
Go shovel for however long it takes
Come back in.... take another shower & have a cup of tea to "warm your bones"

Shoveling just means doubling down on showers & tea, really lol.
