Wendy Rollins is the worst, 104.5 is the biggest hipster station in Philly. It's probably the only station to play Blink though.

 

Man...the chorus in, "Everytime I Look for You." It seems as though each day I'm hooked to a different Blink record.

 

At least at the very least we will get to hear some sick drumming from Travis. For me that's what saves most songs on Neighborhoods so if he's this involved in this, I'm sure I won't be disappointed on his end. Not that I ever have been

 

I was just going to say the same thing, really cool seeing the updates/interviews coming from him.

 

I just can't wait for this.

 

Which is definitely odd when it comes to blink. Travis has always been the 'went in on the studio, played my parts, left and waited for the magic to happen' kind of guy with them. I'm glad he's acting like a leader this time around.

 

Since Tom has been out, Travis has almost become just as much of a "front man" or speaker for the band as Mark. That's rad.

HOWEVER!

I find it kind of odd/interesting/exciting that Mark and Matt are pretty much silent.

 

I love when they play Blink and Jimmy stuff, but you have to sit through, "Pompeii," by Bastille 10 million times before you hear something good.

 

That would be amazing.

 

Totally understand why Matt is so silent though.

 

All of the short video clips of Travis drumming posted while in the studio have been great so I have no doubt this album will have excellent drumming.

 

Usually Mark is the talkative/vocal one and Travis is quiet so it's been pretty interesting this time around having those reversed. Considering Matt is new its not too surprising he has been quiet.

 

The anticipation is figuratively killing me. The biggest question for me (because we know the drumming is going to be world-class, obviously) is what kind of vocal structure they go with on the first single. As those rumors we heard seem to indicate, most of the songs might be Mark mainly singing with Matt doing harmonies but that doesn't mean there aren't any songs where they trade off equally (although I doubt they do any songs with just Matt on this album, that might come on the next one). I'd say "Bored to Death" is probably a Mark-led one but I'm holding out hope there are some songs on the actual record with Matt doing more than just harmonies.

 

I'm hoping for at least 3-4 50/50 trade-off vocal tracks, those and mark-led were always my favorite blink songs. If they did that with the mark-led, matt harmony tracks I will be soooo happy.

 

It's the truth, I can't tell you how many times they keep playing " Ocean Avenue ".

 

I think Mark keeps silence because he wants fans to hear the music first. Travis was giving so many interviews because of all different music project he has got in his pipeline. And of course interviewers want to ask about blink-182.

 

All I want as an interview with all of them about the album, I think that would be enough to hold me over until the album release.....maybe......

 

Yeah I'm with you regarding generally enjoying the Mark-led songs as well. I also loved the 50/50 songs too, like "Pathetic," so I'm hoping for some of those as well. I love Matt as a vocalist and just want to hear how his voice adapts to this new musical context.

 

I think that would make my anticipation even more unbearable.

I think I'm more excited for this single than I was for Up All Night.

I partially think it's because it seems more genuine this time around. Like all the dude truly want this to be great.

 

I'm honestly going to try my hardest to wait until the whole album is out

 

I'm going to listen to the single, but after that, I think I'm going to wait it out for the rest of the songs.
