Very happy that Ja Rule/Ashanti seem to be experiencing a resurgence of sorts

 

Late but "Love Letter" is my favorite R. Kelly album if you haven't heard that one. He does throwback R&B really really well.

 

Happy to see dvsn and JMSN love! Still need to listen to Craig David's whole new album.

 

It's brilliant! It's such a feel-good album, it will definitely put you in a good mood whenever you listen to it haha.

 

I've heard a lot of people say it's his most enjoyable since Born to Do It, so I'm looking forward to listening!

 

Just a reminder:

 

Not in any way condoning R. Kelly's actions. The debate of listening to music by problematic artists is very widespread on here, and typically where I stand is if I love someone's music as much as I do his, I'll listen to it without supporting the artist's actions. Ironically Tyler, the Creator is another instance of my doing so (obviously not saying what he's done is at all comparable to R. Kelly).

 

Definitly the best out of his last few albums. My favorite is probably Chocolate Factory.

 

I'm gonna re-listen to some of his classic albums again soon, he has a great discography.

 

Definitely always a good idea. The only albums I do not enjoy are his last two regular albums, though I would say this year's Christmas album is a return to form.

Also, I think Happy People/U Saved Me is slept on and should not be overlooked.

It's Christmas Day and I'm on a train from Long Island to the city, and from there I'm taking a bus to Wilmington, Delaware where in the morning I'm flying to Florida with my girlfriend's family. It's not my preferred way to spend the holiday, and it's a transitional period in my life so things feel slightly strange, but this album is making it all feel okay. It's really euphoric, theatrical, and beautiful and I think everyone here would really appreciate it. It's called The Human Condition

 

I really love that album.
