Shit, I really need to catch up on the music that came out this year. I could maybe do a top five if I put my heart into it.

 

I have my list almost ready, but I'd like to sit on it a little longer. The only thing I'm 100% on is Chance The Rapper's Coloring Book is my hands down #1

We're not so different, you and I

 

I'm going to have a really hard time ranking that one. Wrote it in as my #1 before I heard it and I'm clearly biased towards it as you can see by the name but I don't love it as much as I wanted to.

 

Personally, I like it as much as the Season, which was my AOTY in 2011, and the record I've listened to most since then. I think it's basically perfect and is everything I wanted from an AGO follow up.

I've spent a lot more time with 'Painkillers,' and it's everything I've ever wanted from a Brian Fallon release.

Basically, 2016 was a perfect year of music for me. Everything on my top 6 was legitimately 'AOTY' level. I think that this year was my favorite music year ever.
