IT feels like U4 came out last year

 

I played through a little more than half of it, up to Libertalia during launch week, but then got pulled from my PS4 for a week for vacation, and lost my motivation to go back to it. Every time I pondered jumping back in, I realized how busy I was and how I didn't actually have time to enjoy it.

7 months later, I grab a PS4 Pro on a whim because of a crazy deal at Target, and was suddenly motivated to finish it up.

As a dad, I had all the feels during that Epilogue.

 

I'm not sure I have a game of the year. Pokemon is my default answer but I'm not that far in.

ESO is pretty fun so far, went with a Khajiit.

 

Been playing through DOOM again lately, it's still ridiculously fun

 

The writing in BF1 is really good. Like....REALLY good. Steven Hall is a beast.

 

No Mans Sky GOTY 2016

 

Ratchet & Clank is GOTY for me followed by Firewatch, The Witness and The Park.

Best Soundtrack-Firewatch easily

 

Just bought Ratchet and Clank. never played those games but I've heard really good things about this game. Firewatch is on my list. I was super excited about The Witness but when I learned more about the game got less excited. I thought it was going to be more like Myst when I first read about it. Never heard of The Park, just looked it up, love spooky, can't do haunted carnival haha.

 

UC4, Quantum Break, Inside, BF1 (probably), Hyper Light Drifter, DOOM, Forza Horizon 3, Day of the Tentacle and Superhot are my top games right now.

Games I still need to play:
Homefront the Revolution, Titanfall 2, Watch Dogs 2, Dead Rising 4, Headlander, Firewatch, Batman, and Firewatch.

 

I liked Fire Emblem and Mafia 3. I liked plenty of games I played, but I'm not sure one stands out. I'll make a list eventually haha.

 

Also two other categories I blanked on.

We could use the Giant Bomb categories, they're fun

 

I loved the puzzles in The Witness but really have no clue what was going on besides that. The Park was incredibly creepy and jumpy, had so much anxiety playing through that game haha

 

Dark Souls 3

 

I have a vague idea of what a top 10 of mine looks like, off the top of my head which means I'm probably forgetting something: Doom, Titanfall 2, FFXV, Trails of Cold Steel 2, The Witness, Uncharted 4, Dark Souls 3, Overwatch, Hitman, Dragon Quest VII? Something like that. Maybe replace DQVII with Builders or World of Final Fantasy.

On a different note, The Last Guardian coming out has made me finally break out that Ico/SotC collection I've had for years and play Ico for the first time (and attempt to finish SotC for the first time).
