    Passion of the Weiss is great, it just has a silly name because apparently Jeff Weiss, although a great critic/writer, is bad at naming stuff

    Not everything is good of course, but some of the best writing about Hip Hop (and somewhat related stuff, for example a great piece on Invincible) this year has been on that site, including reviews. Also, not every contributor is actually a "real writer", so there is that to consider when looking at some of the writing in detail.

    It's also great for finding new stuff that is not yet appearing on any of the bigger sites.
