I've been on maybe three or four dates in my life. I just have so little interest in that sort of thing.

You should consider Joining a local photography group in your area to meet new people and learn some skills.

Don't get me wrong, I do have a life, my photography is my livelihood so to speak, but I don't get enough from it where I can live substantially. This has affected my self esteem, and general happiness.

 

I totally get it my man, you're talking to someone in the same exact position in my own ways right now. 2015 was the same case with me especially with people I'd go out of my way for to support or at least listen to but when I needed the same... nowhere to be found. Cut out most of my friends, family, love interests, etc.

It's clear you have to finally talk get this totally out there and totally know what it is, for better or worse cus atm you're killing yourself in thought. I doubt it'll be too bad if she's been around for quite some time, just make that jump man. If dating/love was easy there wouldn't be a thread on a forum that become a support group of sorts lmao.

As for the speed of your life, I know you heard the line before but comparison is the murderer of self esteem & self worth. Just keep moving forward, keep an open mind, heart & eyes for those who really have your back and in time the mountain to climb won't seem as big.

 

I love my boyfriend very much but recently he has been open to the idea of a more open relationship( which I want). However, very strictly sexually open. Absolutely no emotional connection is allowed to form per his request. He doesn't care about me being physical with anyone but he does care about me being emotional with someone else, which I understand.

 

That's going to be very hard to not form an emotional connection, unless these are random people that you just meet and see for the evening.

 

Having sex with more than one person at a time is exhausting to me. Do Not Enjoy. Like @Dirty Sanchez said, it's really hard not to become emotionally attached but I think it's possible.

That is a good point, it always seems about this time of year when friends start coupling up as well.
And then Christmas Break happens and I go back to teeny hometown for two weeks where there is literally no one except for people I went to high school with.

I feel like the people that go to my school were all the super popular kids in high school with 3k friends on facebook and all that shit. I don't relate to that at all.

 

Ugh, I've never even really been on a date. Just a 7 year relationship that's ending. Started a new job tonight and everyone's talking about their love life/dating and the whole thing is just totally foreign to me. It's terrifying.
