Um I just bought an obscene amount of face masks with that Sephora coupon oops. Picked up the Karuna set, a Sephora mask set that was $10 and another Sephora sleeping mask. I get on these weird kicks where I want to try all of something and right now apparently it is masks. At least I didn't buy any makeup I guess...

 

The Sephora masks are too expensive imo. I get most of mine for $1.50 at this Japanese store. and I won't spend more than $2 on a sheet mask. That's just me. I wish Sephora had the Tony moly masks like they did before. Now I have to buy them online.

 

I have a ton of them but I never use them. I always find that sheet masks get in my mouth and it drives me nuts.

 

I usually just use the cheapo Freeman masks but decided to splurge since I had the coupon. Someone I know keeps telling me the Karuna ones are awesome and worth the splurge so we shall see. I haven't really found a mask I love yet so hopefully one of these is a winner!

 

I have a few freeman masks. Love how they're $4 instead of like $15. I'm on a quest to find a good charcoal mud mask.

 

Anyone know of a good lip primer? I mostly use lipsticks and have very few liquid colors.

 

I stopped wearing makeup to work and it feels amazing. I can rub my eyes without being a raccoon and my skin doesn't feel caked full of foundation! I also don't get hit on nearly as often so it's a win win!

I have it slathered in lotion and aquaphor all day really sealin in my moisture and kinda lookin a lil greasy it's a good look.

To give this a point: do you guys feel like you get hit on more when you're wearing makeup?

 

My other question for the makeup thread, do you guys think I should try to grow my eye brows thicker?

I rarely ever pluck them.. they just kinda look like this ..but sometimes I feel like they're too thin but maybe that's because the big thick brows are in? My friends IRL won't answer me truthfully soooo help!

 

I don't get hit on at all, really but I have gotten compliments on my make up at work (when I have time to do it), and it makes me feel good. Like I hope people think it looks good because it's not cheap! Lol

It's honesty up to you. I liked having thin eyebrows, but kinda growing them out (have been for nearly a year) because I messed them up. I bought an eyebrow pencil the other day because my eyebrows looked so dull when I have a face full of makeup and my brows not "done". Now happy I bought it.

So I guess what I'm saying is, I personally think your brows look fine. Who cares about trends

 

Yeah I don't get hit on often and I usually always have makeup on in public so when I do get hit on I'm wearing it, but I think part of it is that when I'm wearing it and really feeling my look that day and like I've expressed myself effectively I am more confident and come off better to others.


Eyebrows are so tricky. I remember watching a psych doc thing that showed how much Eyebrows change ur face and it was ridic!! tbh I always say it's less risky to grow them out than over pluck. like the worst that can happen is they look messy and it drives u crazy so u cave and pluck them. it's why I prefer the fuller brow trend to the thin tadpole brows of yesteryear. you can always pluck or wax it away if it looks ridic but you can't make it grow back lol! I think ur brows are fine tho! If ur really curious maybe experiment with filling them in differently/fuller just to see how it is and see if you like the look and wanna grow them?

Back when thin eyebrows were in I wanted the lady who waxed mine to make them thinner and she refused and I'm so thankful now. She says they're like my dad's so I think the hairs are thick/coarse, but they're really not big or bushy like I convinced myself they were when I was younger. I was convinced I had Sandy Cohen brows and I wasn't even close lol

 

I felt more attractive when I had thin eyebrows. They way they are not aren't bad. Deleted my last post because I didn't like how I phrased it. I think the reason that I hated my brows back then was because they were dark and bushy, which made me feel ugly. I hate looking at old photos.

 

I need to check my emails more. Passed up a $15 off $50 purchase that I could have used YESTERAY. I don't need anymore makeup right now and don't want the code to go to waste :(

 

I get hit on more with no makeup. I don't wear makeup to work bc microscopes and eye makeup don't pair well together. I'm always at work so I'm rarely wearing it lol

You have nice shaped eyebrows and I like them.

 

I was going to use my sephora $20 off thingy but I didn't want anything??? idek who I am anymore!! I think I've been watching too many anti-haul videos and they're working too well!!

 

I could use it for my Christmas presents

I've did a face mask today and this stuff I started using is awesome. It's Queen Helene.

 

I don't think I've ever used one of those. I generally just get the Freeman ones. I also stop at every Sephora I can and get samples of a couple of the Glamglow masks... Probably makes me hella unethical. I'll buy it eventually. $70 for a pot of face mask is a hard pill to swallow.

 

Is that the silver stuff? I want to try it so bad but, yeah, it's so expensive.

 

Thanks for the input I'll maybe try thickening them, I use Anastasia brow powder anyway but I just go over my current eye brows never add any "extra" except once and I thought I looked like a freak so I washed it off but I probably just wasn't used to it

 

Anti haul? I'm familiar with haul vids but what is an anti haul?

 

Videos where they recommend what not to buy. Kimberly Clark does them for the holidays which helps me lol. They're all subjective but it helps put things into perspective and to have someone say "YOU DON'T NEED THIS" especially about those cute holiday giftsets I always want

 

Oooh I'm gonna have to watch these because I too get sucked into cute packaging at Christmas time
