Maybe you could just sit back and judge the show based on its own merits rather than decades of comics written by different people? Just a thought.

I think it's ok to have certain expectations at first when they use a comics character as long as you're willing to adapt them when the new merits/story/characterization arises. Sara is a great example of this for me where I'm a huge BC fan and was shocked that Laurel was BC, but once they went into Sara's story she became one of my favorite characters and I grew to like most of the changes. Most of the things I'm looking for are more backstory/development for the new characters that just got thrown in all at once and am using their comic counterparts to explain some examples of the development I hope to see. The only one I'm still not ok with is Prometheus. At this point with Prometheus we have nothing to go off of besides his name so the comic version is all we have as a basis for his character. If he's revealed as someone with deep ties to Oliver (Tommy would be cool) with some ties to the comics character (Ghost Key is tool he uses to mind control?) I'll be the first one to admit I like the change but all we know now is he hates GA and is named Prometheus. When the show gives me more merits to go on I'll adjust my stance, but with so little the comics expectations/comparisons I think are still valid. I totally understand your point of essentially "Wait and See" but I don't think there's any harm in making comparisons now and once it's all over arriving in the same place, but to each their own.

As far as Vigilante goes though, I was just wrong and will totally accept that ones on me and I didn't have my facts straight because I didn't know there were more Vigilantes besides the Greg Saunders Cowboy. Still don't find the show character too interesting yet but now have no expectations of what he could be so we'll see.

Personally I think it's cool to see these interpretations of all these characters and compare differences. Not criticizing just enjoy seeing cthese characters come to life in another form not on comic book paper

  6. I've always appreciated Amell's passion for this show. If you don't want to know anything about potential cameos in tonight's episode, maybe don't read this. I don't think they're really spoilers, though.

Great episode. I really enjoy how both crossover episodes have focused on the characters/plot/tone of that specific show while still contributing well to the overall plot line.

  8. I think team Arrow getting abducted by aliens ended up being more grounded than last year's nuke storyline.

One of my favorite episodes in the history of the show. All the actors really killed it last night.

definitely. this is in my opinion one of the best episodes of Arrow. The action was on point and even moreso, the emotional side of the episode was terrific. It wasn't cheesy, or weak, the actors were on top of their game I felt.

  11. Ya that was a great episode. They really nailed the emotional arc for this one, and it was nice to see all those old faces.

Agree. I'm hoping it rolls over into the new episodes, especially after the holiday break. Do you think we see Thea as Speedy again now?

I feel like my enjoyment was cheapened due to the fact that it was so similar to an old Batman:TAS episode. Obviously it had differences and I did enjoy it. But it lacked that something extra to me because of that.

I hope so! She's become one of my favorite characters.

I've really been enjoying this season, for the most part. More that The Flash, which has kind of been a drag imo.

Yeah I'm hoping now that she got a taste of it again she'll rejoin the team. I've enjoyed certain parts of The Flash, but gloomy Cisco has been a downer.

Gloomy Cisco, gloomy Barry, gloomy everyone. HR and Malfoy have been my favorite parts, by fair. Which is a shame, because I think the other three CW superhero shows are all having pretty great seasons so far. They just need to find what makes The Flash fun again.

Speaking of Thea, the scene with her and Oliver (almost) saying goodbye last night (and Oliver's goodbye to his parents) were series highs, IMO. Both hit me hard.

Yeah. Barry does gloomy much better than the rest of them. I loved the scene this week with him and Ollie when they stayed behind.

And totally agree with that. I think because of how hard it hit the characters, it relayed that extremely well to the audience. I also think that's the moment that will really ground Thea and make her realize she should still have Ollie's back on the team. At least that's what I'm hoping for haha.

I still don't understand the hate on Flash. I really am loving it. Cisco being upset in general doesn't bother me cause I feel like in his situation that's difficult to deal with. what does bother me is he makes a point of bringing up how upset he still is way too often. Barry I feel like even given some of the struggles is still pretty optimistic. also feel like his rise to being the beacon of hope is a storyline building based on the conversation HR (whom I am loving) had with Detective West.

but yeah, I've had so much fun watching this season I can't get enough. Arrow is definitely a breath of fresh air (not without flaws) after the past two seasons. Hoping it continues to get better and better. Legends I'm getting a bit bored with.

I haven't hated Flash by any means, it just hasn't been quite what I was hoping for. I think Barry's interactions with the rest of the teams (esp Oliver) during the crossover will hopefully bring about some changes on the show. The team just hasn't felt like much of a team to me lately. But I'm still enjoying it. New HR is interesting for sure.

I think Flash has been better, but at least Legends Of Tomorrow has gotten much better this season. I like them all though.

I don't hate The Flash, but I think they kind of bungled the whole Flashpoint thing and have been trying to backtrack ever since. It's still an improvement over the end of last season, which was downright bad imo, but it's still probably the CW superhero show that I'm enjoying the least this season.

The Flash is consistently my favourite of the four shows. Arrow has improved a lot this season but still has a long long way to go to undo the bullshit of season 3 and 4. I'm still getting over Oliver not dying due to penicillin tea and the will to live.

Arrow has too many unlikeable or uninteresting characters right now. Flash isn't always the most logical of shows but at least the characters are all good for the most part.
